Lets talk GEC!

Pt-Luso, that must be one of the very earliest SFOs that GEC contracted for. Is it a 2007 knife?

Yes it is a knife of 2007. It is not a SFO, but rather made for the Allegheny Mountain Knife Collectors Association, Knife Club and Bear Shield Symbol.

The Oily Creek Bone Big Jacks look great! I hope this carries over to the OCB handles for the upcomng 66 run!

I've been hoping to see the 2016 Production Totals pop up on GEC's website. Kind of expected to see them by now. Anybody remember how long that usually takes?

Rick, it seems that each year they take longer, probably because they continue to get busier. Last year it was around the beginning of May, I think.

I'm liking the #54s in burlap micarta! At first I wasn't in on this run, but the production pictures sure did change my mind, gonna be a work horse!

Ok, thanks Jeff. I couldn't remember as I don't usually follow it that closely but I'm curious about some of last years' runs. Particularly the #14 Lick Creeks but a couple of others too.

I'm probably going to sit this one out myself but the bone on those Maher & Grosh SFO's is to die for. I like the shield too. They are really tempting me. GEC worked some kind of magic with that bone. Looks like a 100 year old knife! Amazing.

Ya those look amazing...it's definitely a pattern that is catching my eye and I didn't think it would!

So....anyone else over the moon about the 66 stockman run :)

Yes, as a matter of fact, I am.:) Been waiting quite awhile for another run. It's my own fault though because I sold the ones I used to own.

I've got one each of the Tidioutes reserved and I vow to never be Calf Roperless again.

Darn it. I was resolved to pass on the 54s, but the desert ironwood knives just went on sale. I caved and got one. That wood is just too pretty, and the 54 really showcases it well.

Yep, GEC is killing me right now!

3 Big Jacks and 3 Trappers have all put hits on my bank account.

That Ironwood is beautiful. I like how that dealer takes detailed photos of each knife so you know what your getting.

Some excellent handle choices on this latest 54, also gratifying to see the Jack or Moose choice of blade arrangements. Too bad there isn't a Cuban Pen type or Clip/small sheepfoot variant too.

I'm interested in the single-blade option though. Does anybody know if there's a Northfield option or SFOs based on it? Fancy a long pull Spear.
