Lets talk GEC!

I wish we could get some more detail on the stockmans coming our way and of any possible SFOs. I know Mike has the oily creek coming.

Who has my NO BRASS 66 with slanted bolsters and burlap micarta? Maybe some sawcut copperhead?

Hopefully the next production update with give us some 38 SFO's. Seems weird for GEC to have a run with a couple different cover options. For example, look at the number of 48, 54 options compared to the 38. Plus, single blade on the 38 just feels like it's missing something imo... another blade.

I wonder if the 66 will be on the next schedule. I bet it will. Hopefully there's some 2 blade options there too. I wonder if there's any chance they will run the TC's and 66's at the same time. Seems like it would make sense due to blade size.

I read a comment from Barry on another forum that the 66's were originally scheduled to be ran "right after the 38's" but with GEC's ever changing schedule it's hard to say if that will actually happen.

I certainly hope it does.

I think most people are trying to forget about the 35. LOL!!!

Maybe the scraper can be used as a front flipper - those are becoming quite popular it seems... Oh maybe not, I think that's part of the liner. Darn

LOL. I'm one of those people. I like the 35 frame but not the contraption GEC has on their schedule. The idea is kind of cool I guess but that one arm blade would really get in the way when closed it seems.

Since we are talking about what might be around the bend for the rest of the year, I would love to see a 92 Eureka Jack. Maybe a 55 Hound Tooth?

Any rumblings about a CK 77 Medium Barlow for 2017?

I bet we won't see a 92 for a long time since they were in production last year (DLT SFO). If I recall correctly Mike was talking about covers for the 77 in another thread awhile ago. I will try to find it...

Thanks! I hadn't read the "77 Impressions" thread for awhile and didn't realize there was already discussions about a 2017 model.

I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of Talons last year...what a great knife! Looking at the Case Bose knife this year makes me want a GEC Eureka.

This is a huge pet peeve of mine. I shouldn't have to question if the manufacturer actually tested their design or not when I try to use the secondary blade of a knife. GEC is usually pretty good about this though so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Please, please, please give me a run of beer scouts without the sheespfoot. And in 440C.

I always look forward to the next run of 77 Barlows, but I'd like to see some 77 jacks added in for good measure. The 77 is an awesome frame.
