Lets talk GEC!

I have never handled a 46 whaler? Are these more for collectors or users? I personally enjoy carrying my 35 Churchill, any #85, and the 57 whittler.

Would I like a 46? Thanks.

They are pretty big knives. I suppose some people carry them as users but I suspect most are for collectors.

Here is a picture of a 45, which I believe is the same as a 46.

Thanks Norcaldude. Based on your response and pic I will sit this run out. I’ll let the guys who want them have a chance.

Sounds like a run of 15’s are coming up as well. Judging from early reserve listing, it looks like the offerings will be sort of plain; Tidioute in ebony, jigged antique bone, and OD micarta. It will have a spear blade which is nice and a version with bail and chain will also be offered. I hope there are a lot of SFO’s with more interesting handle materials. Otherwise, I might pass.

JTB_5 JTB_5 sorry about the mistake, doing too many things at one time.

I see spear, not clip at Mike's website. Where are you seeing clip?

There is a GEC model Northfield Moose. Nice looking knives, but what is the point of having spear point and clip point at opposing ends? Can someone explain the usefulness of this configuration?

I bet a run of beerscouts and cap lifters are in the works...well I'm hoping. ;)

New beer scouts would be very nice!!!

I jumped all over the bail and chain boys knife in micarta, because I adore micarta and I'm all about dat bail. But I'm actually hoping that this is one of those infrequent sprint runs of stainless 15's, like the clip versions of a couple years ago. That would move this run from the good into the great category.

I'm missing the chain part of bail and chain. Are these going to have a bail that also has a chain connected to it? I've never seen that before.
