Lets talk GEC!

Single Blade Tidioute SFO's will be long pull. Dealers were asked if they wanted 100pc sfo with variations being slab, shield, etch.

Some were allowed a full sfo run: Charlie, DLT, SMKW
Thank you, that answers my first question.
So, will all the #14s have bolsters on both ends?

just sexy... doesn't show the etch, but it will have one

Thanks for sharing this picture. I think this is the first picture that we have seen of these upcoming 14's.

I'm happy to see the end cap. That adds some class and differentiates these from the last run of 14's. I love the shape of the clip point blade. It looks to be shaped exactly like the 15's and 77's just smaller. Hopefully this blade shape will allow for pinchable opening.

Yes I was thinking the same thing. Pinch ability is always a major bonus :cool:

Yes, there was a #77 Tidioute Yankee Jack made back in '15 or '16 that was sawcut with end caps. It was a nice knife.
Indeed. Also they did a #66 slim in red sawcut. It was great, too. Not an end cap, exactly, but a double bolster.

Do you have the tube for the TC? If so, is that marked with a 2 also? The reason I ask, they may have stamped the blade with a 2 if the blade has been replaced.

Yes the tube has a 2 handwritten on the label.
Pretty sure it was new from a dealer.

So if I understand correctly the S stamp only comes from the GEC store?

No. The "S" stamp did originally come from "Store Only" model in which was sold in the company store due to minor cosmetic issues. But today they are available to all dealers and sold as EDC's.

The "2" stands for "Second" which is not available to the general public unless on an SFO where the dealer provided the handle materials. Otherwise they are made available to GEC employees with the agreement they will not be re-sold.

I'm certainly in the Barehead is Best Camp:cool::thumbsup:

IF all of the 14s are going to be end-capped then my interest ends.:( Well, others will gain.
