Lets talk GEC!

The 14 after all is a boy's knife, it seems like the perfect size for a boy. My Granddad would have loved the 14. He would have had it as his "front pocket" knife and probably a 71 in the back. I will be getting one from Gunstock Jack's for my front pocket too.

The thing is that, at this point in my collecting life, I already have a LOT of knives in the EDC rotation. I carry my Crown Lifter 15 a bunch. So, effectively, I'm only interested in "stock" GECs, if that makes some kind of crazy collector sense. :)

Although, I gotta say, I've been waiting for some Dead Skunk acrylic for a long time so I might HAVE to try to snag one of those, single blade or not.

Are these both seconds?

Those stamps indicate they are a 2nd and Store knife. Often it’s hard to tell what makes them not first quality. Typically they function fine and it’s only cosmetic. From what I understand, they are not covered by warranty.

What is weird the TC with the 2 is absolutely spot on.
The 78 with the S has shield fit issues but is otherwise perfect.

Yes, White Owl with Clip master.

They did some Congress knives in DS as far as I recall, very early knives and the colouration was more cream in it than white, all good stuff though so I'm glad it's getting revived.

No you are right I made a hasty mistake and instantly corrected it, not quick enough! Must've been thinking about Black Box knives...;):D
 
I must admit, I’m very curious to see what the dead skunk acrylic will look like now. It has been different over the years. The last iteration was more white and red, mostly. While my #53 from 2007 has beige, blk and red in it.
 
I snagged the next to last one. Glad I decided to pull the trigger. Looking forward to it. When are they supposed to ship?
