Lets talk GEC!

More Eurekas would be nice...

Yes, please!!! This is my favorite pattern and my first GEC was a Northfield single blade spear with Chechen rosewood and brass endcap (#23 of 25 produced). So comfortable to use and hold.

I've said it before but it bears repeating... 3-1/2" Trapper please
Lots of their current frames would work, or a shortened #48 would be perfect.
Yeah, with spey and wharncliffe blades!:thumbsup:

Nope - a 3 7/8" Sowbelly with clip, sheepfoot, and spey blades would be perfect.
Yeah, that sounds perfect, ED!:thumbsup:
(Or a canoe!)

Sounds like an 897UH.
That Uncle Henry IS pretty much the ideal stockman IMHO!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Many thanks JB in SC and 007 Hunter. Yes, I have a couple of those TC speys. The blade shape is really versatile. It just occurred to me that the clip, sheepsfoot and spear have all made an appearance on the boys knife (as opposed to the barlow), and that it'd be neat to see a run of boys knives with a single spey blade (essentially the farm boy run minus the clip). Just a thought. Certainly not expecting this to happen! MJ.

I just picked up this lovely Tribal Lock and love it. I foolishly let go an Esky Zulu a while back, I hope to pick another up soon but it got me thinking what, if any, other patterns has GEC implemented that Esky Zulu drop point blade on. Is the blade serial 5 droppoint/skinner blade the same or was that a one off for Northwoods?

I just love the medium/large frame with the zulu spear and would love to see a big variety run like something similar to the current 14's or 78's from last year done in a GEC esky style.

I'm hoping for something with a caplifter from GEC that is larger than the 15 frame. Almost all the caplifter GEC's are sold out - there's a handful of nifebrite, but that's it. I know it's unlikely, an 85 with a caplifter like the forum knife would be ideal for me.

Friends,

Mike from CK was taking a poll on social media yesterday. The poll was if you would prefer single spear EO 85’s or spear and coping EO 85’s.

I think we may have some 85’s in our future!

I voted for spear and coping but the single blade vote was like 66%.

Let me just add that Mike stated “if a guy was to build some 85’s.....”

So it’s not a sure thing.

That sounds promising! I’d be a single blade guy myself, but either would be awesome!

I'd vote spear main/spey secondary, myself.
