Lets talk GEC!

John, I must digress. Single blade spear in the barlow frame with all steel construction and tan sawcut or ebony covers. :D

The Antique Green Jigged Bone will be on the Tidioute's. The bone on the Northfields has not yet been selected.

The SFO 77's from Charlie and Mike sure are some beautiful knives! But the Tidioute Cutlery 77 ain't no slouch either!

I think this pattern is going to be another a big hit all the way around.

I like the looks of this one  but I'm more for a single blade.

I would love to see a Scout knife variant from GEC. A nice bail, match-striker long pull on clip main blade, secondary spey blade, bottle opener/flat head, and then either an awl or can opener. You could put just about any handle material on that and I'd buy it.

I'd also like to second tstaut's Beerlow suggestion with copperhead bone coloring and either a long pull clip blade or spearpoint

+1 on a GEC Scout knife. I think the 68 frame would be a good option. Below is a White Owl bracketed by an Ulster 1503 and a Cattaraugus D2589. 3 1/2 inches closed

And just talking GEC in general, sometimes I step back in awe of what they have made. These are good times for us pocket knife folks!

I want to see the GEC illustrated again.

I was having that trouble last week, but it seems to be fixed?

Try going to greateasterncutlery.net and allowing it to (re)direct, ie, don't rely on a previous bookmark to access the page. It just worked for me.

Speaking of which...

Do you think it's too late to join the "AMKCA"?!

LOOK AT THAT KNIFE. Wow....

I love the bear shield atop the "bear claw" jigged bone.

I actually checked, and they voted and took a count in September.

They meet relatively close to where I go to school, and I am a Western Pennsylvanian, so I might check it out.

Browsing around different threads here and at other forums I saw pictures of some older birdseye stockman knives from Case and Schrade. It got me thinking about the Farm & Field line and how it's all single blade patterns save for the fish knife. I know that the point of F&F is to be the more affordable everyday working tool and having a single blade helps meet that end. Less blades equals less material and less labor versus more blades. But I couldn't shake the idea that something like the #81 Abilene stockman done up F&F style with yellow delrin and no bolsters would be a really cool knife.

Anyone else feel that a ~4 inch stockman would be a nice addition to the Farm & Field range?

You're right. I'd forgotten about those #47s and I usually keep a good track of anything with a sheepsfoot main. ;)

A shadow stockman would be very cool. Even if not a BF knife this would be a great idea for GEC to take up on their own.
