Lets talk GEC!

Exactly that... except the secondaries would be a cap lifter and a can opener. ;)

I can't whittle with a cap lifter or can opener! well... not well.
I suspect they don't heat treat cap lifters or can openers to the same hardness as the blades? otherwise I could modify.... hmmmm

They wont ever do the beer "scout" again so could you tweak this to say "Beer Jedi" maybe we can get some traction with that? ;)

A "Beer Belly" new model Sow Belly style knife is the ticket. 3 3/4" to 3 7/8" closed. The phrase "Beer Belly" will be great for marketing. Folks want another cap lifter knife without the sissy 'Brownie-elf" etching. "Beer Scout" is more manly. That is why "Beer Scout" out sold the "Crown Lifters". I do like Beer Jedi , but Bill Howard does not want to tangle with "THE MOUSE". (Disney) A new thought ! How about a "Sith Slicer" ????

I don’t dislike the Crown Lifter’s “Mineral Water” blade etch (in fact, I think it’s more interesting than the “BS” etch on the Beer Scout’s blade). I think the reason(s) the Beer Scout outsold the Crown Lifter is that it has a more “premium” overall look (long pull, shield, bail, unique tube artwork), more interesting covers, and (probably most importantly) it appeals to the craft beer crowd, people who appreciate beer-related advertising, collectibles, etc. I’ve gifted four or five Beer Scouts to friends/family members who are beer enthusiasts but aren’t exactly “like us” when it comes to traditional pocket cutlery.

In other words, I think the association with “beer” is really what sold the Beer Scout.

... can... can I be your friend, too?

“Beer Enthusiast” is my preferred term. At least I prefer it over what my friends, family, and that stranger called me at that awkward party... what’s the word? “Invention”? I don’t know. They looked upset about something though.

My two most used tools on my SAK are the large blade and the all-in-one bottle opener/screw driver/general poking widget. So if I could land a GEC with a blade and an all-in-one bottle opener/screw driver/general poking widget

I have a better name for it though:

THE BEER LIBERATOR!

edit: maybe they could call it the #24... fellow aviation nerds, unite!

I call this one The Party Knife!

I’ve seen that photo at least a dozen times, and it makes me hungry every time. :D

Nice! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

I’d love to see a run like that, or even with a spear main.

I think a run of clip point or spear point Crown Lifters would sell better than the last run off sheepsfeet. Just a guess.

I wonder I’d they could throw a caplifter on one of these Speaker Jacks and call it a Speakeasy Jack. :D

I think it would be popular.

Here's a less appetizing pic from earlier that afternoon:
