Let's talk Northwoods

To salve some of my disappointment, I went and pocketed this one - my only Northwoods. I had no trouble getting this one on the release awhile back, I guess there is something to be said for beginner's luck.

I managed to snag a Heritage Jack in red sawcut bone. I think there were two available because another person on FB mentioned they got one too.

I took a chance and grabbed it because of the red sawcut bone. It also looked very cool with the saber ground spear blade. It wasn’t until after I bought and paid for it that that I learned what model it was. You literally had seconds to decide what you wanted.
 
Crazy Canuck Crazy Canuck nice group. I’ve had that everyday Barlow on my KSF wishlist since 2017. Before I became enlightened to the infrequency of these runs. I remember putting several GEC and Northwoods models on my wishlist back then thinking “they’ll probably be available next month”..🤣😂😅😊😏😒😩

Yup, lol. I grabbed the first brown blur that looked to be the shape I was looking for and hit checkout... Sold out. Hit the next brown blur that looked to be the same shape as a Indian River Jack and purchased it... And then found out it was kudu, lol. I'm sure if I would have taken the time to actually read the description, I would have missed out. I kind of feel bad. Had I realized it was kudu, and not mammoth, I probably would have let someone else have a shot. :(
 
Here is mine. I literally didn't even have time to look at it until a successful checkout. I have to say, I personally really like the blue camel GECs and Northwoods and have been on the hunt for them a while now. I have only been able to obtain one so far at a reasonable price, (a 12 thanks to a kind Porch member) so I was thrilled to finally land one on release.

Whiffed 6 times on a blue camel. I used Apple Pay, but wasn’t using my default card to pay… so it added an extra precious second each time. Oh well- may not be a next time but I always have my Indian River Jack and my Madison Barlow.

Yea, stayed away because it’s too large a pattern for me, I traded away the Beavertail from last year for the same reason. Interesting that they didn’t go with the linear lock too. Assuming a lot of these buyers will be trying to trade these for something they actually want….

Completely agree.

I had a single knife in the cart 3 seperate time but each time it was sold out before I could complete the order. 😭

I tried for that one too but Apple Pay choked.
 
Congrats to everyone who scored, they looked nice. I did not even attempt this time since I was slammed giving COVID and flu shots and filling prescriptions. Even if I was off from work I would have likely avoided it due to the size of the 23 frame. Hopefully we will see more Northwoods return someday.
