Let's talk Northwoods

I have gone back on the site I can see sezzle (never heard of it) or PP no mention of apple pay which I heard people say is quicker?

So glad you are not going to talk purchase process.
I know, I know, you see I stopped myself later.

Let me make it up to you with this beautiful Madison Barlow. The"biggest" knife I own.

Take the purchasing discussion elsewhere, please. You guys know the drill.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but is that the CK SFO in mesquite?
How did that happen . Will go back and edit the post. Sorry for any confusion!

After I posted I checked my image, was thinking the grain showed up very different... sigh, sorry for the mistake.

No worries my friend. Beautiful knives regardless.

Here’s what Mr. Rouch had to say about Stragglers for those wondering:

“So I'd order 500 knives, they'd send maybe 515, then GEC would get back to regular production.

Weeks to months later during change overs between frames, if they had parts they'd make em up and send maybe 3-5 of my last run. The drop would be long over, but I'd get more knives. So I'd save em up. That's where stragglers come from.

Also international returns from the UK happen a lot. They just won't deliver them to the customer. So later I get those back too.”

Crazy Canuck Crazy Canuck nice group. I’ve had that everyday Barlow on my KSF wishlist since 2017. Before I became enlightened to the infrequency of these runs. I remember putting several GEC and Northwoods models on my wishlist back then thinking “they’ll probably be available next month”..🤣😂😅😊😏😒😩
My Everyday Barlow was trash. I really should have sent it back but turned it into a project instead. I've redone the covers, ditched the original bolsters, turned the oddly shaped spear into a clip point. Did my best to eliminate ridiculous blade play and get it somewhat centered in the process. Seriously there was nothing to like about it. The bone was warped and cracked and horrible dye job. The bolsters weren't even straight. The pins had sharp flakes of brass hanging off and little slivers of brass kept working there way out from under the covers.

Thanks, it was interesting see that section appear. It was only my 2nd time trying for NW so I thought it might be normal.

Were those made by GEC?

Well at least it didn't get snatched out of your cart.

Think that was the second last pattern from Queen for Northwoods. After the Barlow they had the Gunstock that were all seconds. All GEC made since.

Thankfully my Barlow was actually pretty well done, even with a lighter pull than I'd prefer.
