Life after titanium framelock flippers

I know that a lot of members here are tired of the Titanium framelock flipper fad and for me, living in Canada with the current import restrictions flippers of any kind are not going to be available.

So, if you're tired of the TFF fad, what would you like to see instead? Thumb studded, pocket clipped slipjoints? Locking friction folders? Some kind of cool new mechanisms?

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing more manufacturers making small (yet practical) EDC fixed blades. Maybe with some kind of pocket clipped sheath!

Sadly the importation restrictions can apply to pretty much every modern folder. Also, I'm not sick of framelock flippers, why change something that works? Knives are tools, I use the proven and reliable tools.

Your statement about the importation of restriction only being flippers is false. So, makes the thread kind of pointless? Also, I'm not sick of framelock flippers, why change something that works? Knives are tools, I use the proven and reliable tools.
You're a bundle of joy.

Slightly updated post. This seems like just another stupid bladeforums thread that hate on certain things because, they have nothing better to do. "tired of s30v" thread v2.
News flash, don't click on threads if they offend you. Or are you forced ?

Woah there cowboy! I'm not hating on anything. I've just noticed that people are getting a little bored of this particular fad, and I'm interested in what they would like to see instead.

Fad? It’s been a thing for a decade or so.

I think it’s just an established platform with distinct advantages - Ti is light, customizable, easy to machine, durable, and does not rust. Flippers are enjoyable to operate and negate the need for a thumbstud protrusion on the side of the blade that can get caught on material - or, indeed, any augmentation to the blade whatsoever to allow for opening - and the flipper tab can act as both a finger guard when open and a safety mechanism when closing the knife that prevents the edge from contacting your fingers.

I’d say the biggest issue is a lack of variety in the execution. Too many matte grey finishes, plain locksides that don’t have any visual or tactile similarities to the show side, etc.

If I were to want anything to become as prevalent, it would be the Hawk Lock or any of the other locking mechanisms that don’t put pressure on the blade when disengaged.

I recently got a couple of Ti flippers and they were fun. I enjoyed them for a bit but admit that it did get a little old.

Hey, maybe you could come up with something less stupid and better to do than hate on other members. Maybe talk about knives?

I believe, mayn, many times, we have been urged to do just that.

Don't like the topic? Dont troll it. Thank you.

Not offended lmao, just find BF many members of rather pathetic, same with the threads. Just posting my opinion on these useless threads.
What you're doing is trolling. If you don't like bladeforums there is always knitting forums... But I suspect you'll be unhappy there too.

This guy is asking for the ban hammer.
