Like a phoenix? CSC is reborn...

Oh man you must live close to RHC! Looks awesome :thumbsup::thumbsup:
We are always the last to get ours here on the West Coast :)

Just got home from work and mine was waiting for me. This one appears to be the one on the top right-hand corner from the picture that Darren posted from their FB page. It came inside that little bag inside the box. No gaps, excellent fit and finish. Going to need a flushing though. Extremely happy with this example. I'll try to get better pictures up tomorrow in the daylight.IMG_5074.PNG IMG_5072.PNG IMG_5073.PNG

Awesome! I was wondering if we would be able to tell which one in the photo we got :) That looks like a beauty :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks! I love my new addition. :)

I’m actually over 300 miles away in Chicagoland. I was amazed at the shipping speed. UPS ground typically takes a few days to ship a package 30 miles let alone 300. o_O

Hopefully yours arrives soon too! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. :D

that is gorgeous, how is the blade to handle ratio?

Thanks friend!!! I think the sizing is fine. Here it is with a picture of a GEC 15 and a Schrade made A.Fields & Co. to give a size comparison. The 15 measures 3 7/16 inches long. The CS and AF both measure a heavy 3-5/16" lg. Note the centered blade on the CS. I hope that helps.View attachment 1002163 View attachment 1002164

thanks much! i emailed them the other day and they said i didnt get a shipping notice because I bought two, so I have to wait for the other one to go together which im fine with. i was hoping they'd do a slightly longer blade since the there is still some real estate if you look in that blade well. but it holds true. much nicer grinds!

I don’t have a photo app, but I’m fairly certain I have either the top left or second left knife from Darren’s photo. More brown than red with a dark streak from the bolster through the shield, all the way through the end pin. Very nice looking. Probably a 6 on the pull with great snap!

I really hope this all works out well enough to continue production after the initial runs are complete. I would be willing to bet a lot has to do with how well it went this time around and how the dollars and cents add up, etc. I know it was mentioned that there were a lot of lessons learned in the production process. Hopefully, we will hear more about it after they finish these up and maybe get an idea of what is to come.
I am really thankful that I stepped into the "know" at the right time on these and got to order a few. I don't think I realized at the time how limited of a run this would be.
The production photos and those you all have posted so far look even better than I imagined :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Darren, I too am glad I was " in the know " at the right time. I'm hopeful that they will be able to continue to prosper. For those of us like me that don't do Facebook please share any info that is interesting.

I forgot to add before that mine came very sharp. Also, after I gave it a flushing it has smoothed out a little and I would say is a 6 on the pull scale with no half stop.

Mine arrived yesterday. It is the second from the bottom, right column. Very nice knife. I will get s photo of it with my other CSC boys knife later today.

Finally got mine today. Pretty sure it is the top left in the photo...darker version. I like it a lot! F&F is great.

Now that I've had a chance to better inspect...I am pretty sure mine is the bottom right. The light in that photo covers most of the knife but I can tell by the grain pattern.
It looks amazing in the sunlight...the grains are beautiful. I am really happy with this.

Darren, BEAUTIFUL grain on that one.:thumbsup: How smooth and strong is the action on yours?

It has good snap and the pull is probably around a 6 or so. Pretty smooth but I think a quick flush is in order (as is the case with most freshly made knives). It feels nice in the hand and seems like it will be a great user. Problem is I haven't decided if I am actually going to carry this or not...if I'm being honest. It is a 1 of 10 made kinda thing.

I feel the same way Darren. Not sure if I want to carry or just enjoy in the display cabinet. Sounds like yours has the same action as mine.
