Like a phoenix? CSC is reborn...

Excellent news, good luck to them :)

I do wish that people who write press releases wouldn't use that phrase 'master cutler' as they do, a master cutler was simply someone who had served a cutlery apprenticeship, registered a mark, and set up business on his own, 'owning his own work'. Sorry, pet peeve!

Good news, I hope Eric is part of this rebirth too and there could be experienced ex Queen workers who could benefit and contribute. Hopefully, pricing will be reasonable and it's not some completely limited collector's niche. I like my 2015 Forum Knife from them, well put together indeed. The other CS knives I had were less satisfying due to very tame snap. I also hope they will use all steel construction as they used to.

I wish them the best of luck, reading the sentence where they can produce 5/6 knives per day gives me pause, those are going to rather hard to get for all but a few lucky folks early in on the reserve...hopefully their co-op will draw more cutlers to join in and grow their production numbers to a viable rate.

I hope they do well, as well, but I didn't see anything to my fancy in the offerings. I'm sure others will!

Best news I’ve heard in some time. mrknife mrknife -Jack I bet they will do some half moonpies, they were a staple as well. Some Canittlers would not go amiss either!
Thanks, Neal

Later edit: This is with regard to Red Hill Cutlery who is selling CSC-COOP
Pre-ordered last night. At least I thought I did as it was available when I placed the order.
Woke up to find this: "Unfortunately we over sold this item, and it is no longer available in the Ram’s Horn."
Evidently, they didn't update their site, although it is up to date, now.
They said "we will have it in Stag with the same wharncliffe blade if interested".
So if you are hoping for a stag, hold on - it's coming, at least they say it is.
Not being interested in receiving something not even pictured, I told them how disappointed I was and I wanted a refund.
That, they were able to accomplish.
They ended the email notifying me that the refund had been processed, in part with:
"If there is anything in the future we can help you with we will definitely try. I hope you have a wonderful day"
"Try"? How about doing!? And with the exact same amount of genuineness, I hope they have wonderful day, also.
"Thanks and let me know if you need anything else" - like have in stock the items you say you do!?!
Without a doubt, I wish CSC CO-OP every success. And, I applaud their loyalty to Red Hill.
Hope the business practices of Red Hill (caveat emptor) doesn't hurt them.
OG

That's unfortunate. Could just be a glitch in the system, they did just re-open.
