The sky is starting to look real bad, and the wind is picking up a bit. be careful everyone! im in philly so i can just imagine how much worse it is for some of you closer to the coast. i dont suggest driving unless its an emergency. i grew up in florida and survived hundreds of hurricanes and tropical storms including andrew. but the people in those areas are more used to that type of weather and dont get as freaked out by them, here people are going crazy. beware of the scared crazy drivers.

news update;
Sandy is expected to come ashore late on Monday, could deliver a harsh blow to major cities in its target zone including New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Baltimore and Boston. Its center was forecast to strike New York-New Jersey area and then move inland toward Philadelphia and the rest of Pennsylvania.

I had an extra 14 but then I modded it pretty heavily. I think the 14 would be a great outdoors knife for a youngster. Good luck finding one man.
 
I'd get him a new one. The 14 and 11 don't get much cheaper anyway, and it'd make a better gift.
 
On the way back from Ethans but I didn't take pics so it didn't happen.
 
Got back from hiking/camping this weekend. We had a blast.
 
Since I had to miss out on the Gathering I still got some time in the woods today. Went on the back side of my property with the kids, who are remarkably feeling better, and stripped the persimmon tree. They were awfully tasty!

A buddy gave me a Cattaragus Quartermaster. It's my first stacked leather handled knife and damn does it ever have a great profile and is really sturdy and thick. I love it. Once I get my act together ima have Richard J fix the handle (every one of these has the same damaged leather) and sharpen the hell out of it, then I'm gonna get a custom sheath made. Then I'm going to use the bejayzuz out of it. Anyone else got one?

I have my stepdads old Ontario with the stacked leather handle that he was issued. But the leather is jacked up bad

Nope but they are cool looking. Cattaraugus is only like 45 min south of me. Perhaps I need to go garage sailing or something for one haha

Got my Swiss & Swede on today.... Ordered a Vic Stayglow Hunter & the new Mora Bushcraft Black :D

Will post pics when they arrive.
 
I too ordered a mora. I dont know what model it was off the top of my head but it has a wood handle and carbon blade. If it matters.
 
Da Moose had a blacked out Mora that I'll be ordering one of soon. Very nice indeed!
 
So y'all know that girl I that was tearing me apart earlier this month? Well, she's back on the grid. And almost stole my BK2...... Worst part is, if I had any chance I probably would have let her.

Time to go back to Pandora to drown my sorrows... And for your information, I did try cooking, I even have a picture, but it don't help.

In other news, ABC is attacking the other half of my life in broad spectrum.
 
So I decided to mod my to to my liking. I might post a WIP in a few days.. I gotta do something to get away from the damn axe sub-forum its going to end up a money pit for me. Kind of like beckers.
