I made a bit of an uncharacteristically impulsive buy yesterday. I was watching some youtube videos on smaller axes and decided to get one of these
It's a council tool boys axe. 27'', 2lb head, made in USA, between 35 and 40 bucks with taxes and shipping. I have only owned small hatchets, never an actual axe. Hopefully I didn't waste my money. anyone have experience with them?
Thanks Cam. Yeah, I just went orange. I'm hoping to sell some leather sheaths. I have had a few guys ask to buy my sheaths so I decided to give it a shot.
You making sheaths for BK-2s? Can you do danglers?
Really nice ride Maus, really nice. Do you have a center console for AR and handgun conceal carry? Something I saw on facebook, let me see if I can find it again.
Edit: Found it. If anyone see's this post then I think there could be a few 'Heads and others buying/building boxes for their trucks/SUVs.

Oh hey, great choice!!!
I'm hanging a couple heavy hatchet heads on boys axe handles right now.
The 2lb on a 28" handle is a sweet spot.
Council is supposed to be making solid stuff. So too with their Velvicut fancy line.
Compare how much tool you get against what you could get in a USA-made fixed-blade knife for $40... You'll need to put your own edge on that thing, tho. Buy a single-cut flat file and make sure you have a stone.
