I had a close call at work today.

I had my BK5 on me while I was working (I'm a cashier) and a manager that likes to make a stink out of things saw the nylon sheath. I've already spoken to the managers about knives on the floor and as long as I don't get complaints about them I'm ok. But this manager is different and a jerk. He saw the sheath and started poking at it. He inspected it, but to my luck, only inspected the part under the Velcro and didn't even notice the giant handle sticking out of the top of the sheath. He asked me what was in there and I said "hard plastic" and then he left me alone. Thank god my shirt covered just enough of the sheath :D

Everytime winter rolls around I kind of wish I had a nice 4 season tent. Tarp and bivy is more of a summertime setup. Hmmm.....

the mailman always comes late when your waiting on a package :( my rat cutlery (esee) rc-6 should be here today! im excited :)

Ok, so it's been a little over 5 days since I got snipped and I think I can safely say that the hard part is over... and basically, there was never a hard part. A dull ache was really the worst I had to deal with. My biggest challenge now is that the doc said no strenuous-or-anything type of activity for another week, and I'm bugging out just sitting around on my ass. The only good thing is that he said I need to "clear out the tubes" sixteen times a month, so at least now I have a hobby.

Sorry so many of you guys had difficulties, but I would by lying if I said I was sorry that I didn't :)

Where do you live/work where you can carry a 5 just for the hell of it?!? If you have one of the new sheaths for the 5 you can carry the knife along your belt and it hides the whole thing instead of just the handle.

He might live in the sunshine state. As far as work, well I'll move to be a cashier there with him if it means I can carry a 7" knife at work. :D I need a job anyhow, and while I hate retail, if I can carry a 7 then I won't mind giving it a try.

Got an esee rc-6 today and honestly it just doesnt feel right in my hands. ill have to mess with it a little to see if i can start to like it, if not off to the trade section it goes.

Is it the flat scales?

It needs some palm swell or contouring or something... Check out TKC's scales for it.

The Knife Connection. They make custom G10 scales for a few different knives. I have a pair of izula scales from them and there great. Highly reccomended.

Damn.... Oh well...

On a happier note; My Rat 1 came in and I'm sorry in advance for all the giggling that follows; HOLY $#!7 THIS THING IS AWESOME! It's twice the size it looks online, and almost TOO big for my hand! What is blade play again? I can't find it anywhere on this knife!

And on top of that my stainless chicago screws came in as well, so now I just need to drill out the busted screw in my 2 sheath.
