Gonna pass, Great looking knives but need to reduce the herd some more.

The Good

05 Mountain Man Bowie | 154CM, Honey Jasper over Ebony | Qty 13. Wish I could afford it - maybe in the next life !

640 XL | 440C, Black Maple burlwood, Mammoth Tooth Spacer| Qty 8. Interesting style of knife, haven't seen this before. Not a fan of burl wood.

110 Folding Hunter | 420HC, Jigged Buffalo with Centered Palm swell| Qty 24. But I have seen nicer versions, priced lower.

110 Folding Hunter | 420HC, Maple Burlwood, Ironwood/Jasper Spacers | Qty 24. Again, burlwood.

101 Hunter | 420HC, Maple Burlwood, Ironwood/Jasper Spacers | Qty 24. Burlwood.

112 Ranger | 420HC Media Blasted/Chip Flint, Lightning Strike Fiber | Qty 18. This one, to me, is the best of the best. Media Blasted, Full chip flint blade (blade is custom drop point and 1/4 (.6 cm) shorter than the normal blade), Lightning Strike Carbon Fiber handles (just sounds cool and looks great !). NS bolsters - the whole knife just looks So good. The best part - only 18 made ! I bought one, so now there are only 17 available. Get it while you can !


The Bad

117 Brahma | 420HC, Ebony with Box Elder Wood Spine | Qty 24 - too much going on with this knife; bad mix of materials. Look at all of the pics, that side view, to me put this knife here. Brass and NS - seems like they had a bunch of materials left over and made this knife.

120 General | 420HC, Buckeye Burlwood, Cherrywood Spacer| Qty 21 - burl wood not a fan of. And spacers - for that price ?


The Ugly

419 Folding Kalinga Pro | S30V, Red/White/Blue Dymalux | Qty 45 - no, just Ugly

Edit..I was at the VA in Gainesville when I got a heads up SOMETHING was coming I might want so I was watching my Email and seen it while I was in Publix's getting KathyJo some soup she likes..I seen the price and stopped. I just bought the BOTM 112 in January, the last Custom shop Mastodon Ivory 112 in December and right before that the 'Tracks' LE with a MSRP of $875.00 plus a few Ebay Bucks in that time frame I'm not counting AT ALL..I'm throughly Bucked out. All during the drive home I was totally bummed I had to pass on this truly Odd 112. I even missed Joe's limited Custom 112 from the last Web Blast ( one of 40 something?) Kathy asked me why I quiet and I told her about having to pass on this one to save money for our trip to the Blade Show in June. She then asked me if I would like to get it as her birthday present to me (May 21 ) and I couldn't log on fast enough to Bucks Website just hoping one of the 18 was still left at 5:42 Eastern time..I agree this is one of the oddest and rarest 112 Joe Houser Customs yet !! I hope Joe will tell us the back story on how and why this one came to be. Its totally unique.

I thought the Brahma is cool so I bought one!:cool: The freebie sorta cool too!

I have always thought the ebony would look good as a handle on some of the fixed blades.
It is such a good looking wood.

I like cool folders, but I prefer them to be users.
That 640 is sweet, but it's gone.
Nice looking stuff. I'm glad Buck does this as it allows us folks that don't live near Post Falls to get some cool things too.:thumbsup:

Same thing happened to me on another order. I suggest to call them or send an email to customer service. I sent an email to customer service - with my order number, name and address and explaining I forgot to add the code - receive an email the very next morning saying that buck would take care of it.

A picture would be great. Most likely will prove me wrong about the looks of the knife : ).

I agree, Buck is amazing at taking care of the fans !

I thought about that. I think it is the picture, the picture does seem a little odd. But, according to the Buck website, the blade is .6 cm shorter than the regular blade. I'm betting this won't really be noticeable on the actual knife. Plus, I see it as a very cool Custom feature.
