Linville Knife & Tool Hi-tech folder false advertising

lol, I wish that were the case. I know both these steels can't be in this model at the same price. What I can't make out is why I was told they were; it's a bit depressing to have someone say such a thing and expect us to believe it. But Mantis knives did the same thing in advertising BG42, and STR found out that his BG42 Mantis was the same hardness as his 420HC model :(
 
Looking through Tac Knives and Blade, I saw an ad for a BG42 lockback. I checked the website, where it is a bit confusing, as the same model is listed as having both BG42 and AUS8 (took some googling to find both). Same price for both steels, confirmed by an email response. I don't know what to make of it, I see no way for both of those steels to be offered in the same knife for the same price.

Well, it's not his fault if his subcontractor doesn't actually use the steel he spec'd...:rolleyes:
 
This is an old thread from 2006. Is he still selling "titanium" knives that stick to a magnet?
