Lion Steel "Roundhead" Euro-Barlow

I got my email for the carbon fiber, but the abalone looks awesome. Can't believe it's tofu lol

Paid for! This is when the waiting gets really hard.
I'm excited to see the slip too!

Glad the time has finally come. Anxious to see the palo santo, it looks redder than the palo santo that was on the TC Barlow. I have heard palo santo also called lignum vitae which would be perfect for one of these.

I got on CK's site and have no clue how to order. I had to create a new account and my account information says I have no reserve! The page I get when I search "roundhead" says no product in this category. Still got till Monday.

If it is lignum vitae, it's a super dense hard and pretty wood. It sinks in water like a rock. They used it on boats as a bumper for when the boat rubbed against the dock.

Just put my order in for the CF. Incidentally am I remembering incorrectly or have the prices changed since the reservation?

The prices increased a bit due to the exchange rate between euro and usd changing since the original order went in around January. The euro has increased in value by quite a bit, I think around 10% since Jan.

Prices went up a bit due to currency conversion. Paid for my Ram's horn last night... Couldn't decide if I wanted a rough or smooth one, so I left it up to the luck of the draw. Some beautiful work on the sample pieces... Love the elk one, and the abalone is wild!

I didn't even notice that was an option lol, luck of the draw for me as well. Think I'll be happy with either.

I've got a carbon fiber on the way. :) I'm looking forward to seeing how the titanium bolsters look with wear. I've never had a titanium scaled knife, and I've read that that they get "snail trails" which I think means burnished marks, rather than scratches. Or do they show scratches as well? Anyone here have experience with titanium?
