Lionspy came today

I wanted to like the knife a lot, but I just had bad luck and got a pos imo it was really bad for me to because I got my Zero tolerance 0560 the same week and it came perfect

I know you are not :) It sucks that some came out perfect and some escaped QC with flaws. Damn shame since it's a great knife but some will be reluctant to drop the cash on it due to the QC issues.

It's funny that you say that as the reverse happened to me. Flaws with my 0560 really turned me off.

My 560 has no problems. I don't know what flaws you are talking about, but had you contacted Kershaw? I heard that their customer service has good reputation. 560 is a nice knife, it is a pity if flaws prevent you from enjoying it.

I have no desire to contact Kershaw over the little flaws I had with the knife and rather not talk about it here since this is Spyderco's section of the forum.

awesome.

Nice pic! The LionSpy has an awesome thwack when it locks up. I never get tired of hearing it!

Does anybody know if the regular Lion Steel SR-1 glass breaker pocket clip screw will fit and work on the LionSpy?

I am told the LionSpy isn't meant to be used as a glass breaker, is this due to the clip screw mounting or the material or shape?

Any info?

I don't know if the SR1 glass breaker would fit. But my guess as to why it was omitted from the LionSpy is because the SR1 is a solid piece of aluminum or titanium. The LionSpy has a seam between the titanium and G10, so if you had a glass breaker on the end and gave it a good smack, the worry would be that it ends up ripping the knife in half at the seam.

Ya I thought about that as well, I am trying to find out from spyderco or lion steel about it too.

I took the bottom most frame screw out and it is longer and goes through the pocket clip screw insert perpendicularly, so the lower frame screw does reinforce the pocket clip screw mounting.

G-10 might be as strong as aluminum, but it still worries me.
