Little Rock - Let's see what you're bringing!

Wow!! things must finally be picking up in the knife world. I got on the wait list last year and there were only 5 people in front of me at that time. I just got my notice that my name had come up las week.
I didn't think there was any chance I'd be able to go, so I hadn't looked into it until just recently... Obviously this show is going strong, because there's a waiting list with 20 names for the 2014 show!

It's really nice to hear a show is doing so well! :)

]I know it may be early[/B] for you unrepentant procrastinators out there, but I've been waiting all year for this. This will be the first Arkansas show I'll attend, and I can hardly wait. :)

So let's 'em folks!!

Seth

Yes, a little early. In past year's I have started this thread 4-5 weeks out and that was even a little early.

Thanks Gary & Carl. I will be in Atlanta and I am geared up for San Antonio. I may be slow but I am working. I tend to fixate on the last details and drag out the finished product. It is nice to have the freedom to do that.

Might be a change of plans. The BOSS says it's been way too long since she got to hang out with Mr. Paul Long and Mr. John White...

So I might just have to buy a couple of air-O-plane tickets down south... ;) :)

At this point I know I am bringing Bob. I have a couple forged out that I will most likely bring but two pieces will be it for me this year for the show. Same for Blade.

Nick,

Some people make the pants, and some people wear the pants. It's good that between you and your wife, you have both covered. :p

Hope you make it down.

Alright, I'll be the first. Here's one that I recently finished and will have at the show. This fighter has a can mosaic blade w/fittings of a twist pattern & a buckeye handle:

This steel was made in a can with drop-offs from various accordion cuts that I've saved for a while. This gives it an almost totally random pattern. One of my friends who saw it said that he saw a thunderbird in it and another said that it was a dragonfly. :)Maybe I should call it "Rorschach" Damascus. You may see something totally different. I don't do this type of can very often as it's not for all tastes. It's one of those that you will either love it or hate it.;)

Off to a nice start Gary - I like the whole concept of the 'Rorschach' Damascus, as well as how it actually turned out.

Looks like fossils to me :)

Maybe we need a "what do YOU see?" thread.

I'll be there with my girlfriend and knife buying consultant, (ok, a good friend), Lord willing!
I'm gonna need more $$$.

oh, that's good. You got a way with words man.

Seth,
This will be my first trip to Little Rock. Will be going to south west Ill. to visit my daughter and family the week before. Then we plan on driving to Little Rock on Friday. 6-1/2 hr drive if you can trust Map Quest:eek:. This will also be the first knife show for my daughter and son in-law. I hope to have a yet to be started bowie or two ready by then. May even get a folder ready as well. Looking forward to this great show and seeing all my old friends and making new.

Thanks
