Liu Kang Man of Zero integrity...Beware

I posted a Ratmastiff at $100 less than going rate. The buyer was kind enough to point out the difference, and even offered to allow me to repost the knife at the higher price. The price was what I had in it, so I told him thanks, but he agreed to buy it at that price, and I (by posting the knife for sale) was going to sell it to him at the price I asked.
Could I have gotten another hundo? Sure. Did a great guy get a great deal on a sweet Swamprat? You bet! It's called a done deal, son. You might want to reconsider backing out of this one, if you intend on selling any future items here at BF.
Oh, and Scott (Steelnut) is one of the great guys on these boards.

It is incredible poor form to back out on a knife deal after you have found out that the knife is worth more than what you sold it for. Now the knife is worth nothing because no one here will buy it from you and since most people are on other forums...you wont sell it there either.

O.K. you refunded the guys money. Big deal he still got screwed by you.

it seems to me u and steelnut made a deal and then he mailed u the money why didnt u send him the knife? u sent him his money back that stinks u need to grow up and be a man and do what u said u you were going to do thats bad bizz . sounds like a big time backer outer what a looser he should be banned

I've had deals where the other guy couldn't make up his mind exactly what he wanted to trade. One guy went back and forth on it a couple of times. But once he made up his mind, that was it, he didn't back out after.

I understand not wanting to lose out on a valuable knife, Liu Kang. But you had the knife. It was up to you to sit on it for another day or another year while you made up your mind what you had and what you wanted for it.

Once you accepted his money, you needed a MUCH better reason for reneging than that.

By rushing into a deal blind, and backing out like that, you leave the rest of very uncomfortable with the idea of ever buying or selling or trading with a flake who would do that.

The extra hundred or whatever this knife is worth is not worth your reputation. The knife community is small and people remember.
