Look what I scored while the Hogs were sleeping *PIC HEAVY*

Thanks everyone for all the comments.Regardless how bad it scares the ever living poop out of me that these could potentially be fakes I still appreciate it.
I could check them with XRF and tell you if they're INFI or not. You'd have to send me one, preferably one of the non-coated ones, though. I wouldn't be able to get carbon content, but the other elements should be enough to verify the proper alloy. If they're fake, I'd bet they're something drastically different from INFI's composition. Should be an easy, quick test if you're interested.
THanks kind sir, I will keep it in mind if I end up without any solid answers
It's real. I'd like to find the person that can do that type of fake for less than what Busse charged for one. How much did you score them for bro?
I hope your right J! I got about $1500 into the 3 + an icepick. Did I do good sensei? I cant really find many past sales thread to go off of. Clueless to what the current market value is on an AA :confused:
On a side note, I need to check craiglist more often!
Dont waste your time, I already have it on lock-down :D I get instant notifications whenever anything busse related is listed. I sure love my iPhone, wouldnt have these blades if it wasnt for it.
Is that Green Linen on the Air Rescue? I love it.
I was hoping you would tell me :D Its either that or black linen I think.

If its any benefit to my cause, I did score them from a guy located in Ohio who seemed to have a fair understanding of the company. He made it sound like he was some sort of rep for busse back in the day. He also had a ratchet with original sheath, it was identical to an old one I had, and he also had a busse fillet knife with bone handles. He said Jerry made it. He wanted $400 for it but I ran out of funds, that it it didnt seem like a very practical fillet knife. Was sweet though, bet he still has it for sale.

It does actually. The prices you got are fair too good, depending what the market is like when you sell them - as standard models. right now I'd put standard presentation grade narks (that have black paper) and NICKs in the 450-700 range each, and an AA like that int he 700-1,000 range, so at worste you paid low end market value.

now... If these are real all three of them are way on the rare end - presentation narks never come up for sale, older Argonne assaults (pre-10th anniversary version) are even more rare let alone with a cnc pattern like that LET ALONE in a2 (if thats what it is), and saber V ground thin nicks? 'till now I didn't know the existed. All the things I've mentioned are small enough to be chocked up to either being older a2 models (at the start of the cnc era for busse) or being custom shopped. I'm reeeeeally currious to hear what you find out

Not bone, but "Hawaiin Wood" aka Micarta (is what it looks like) :D

No problem at all. I can tell you if they're A-2 also, if it comes to that. Just shoot me a PM or an email if you need it done and I'll get you hooked up. :D

Sounds like you got a great deal on the three Busses. I wouldn't send 'em to the spa though. I'd use them.

You did well my friend. Ain't no way they're fakes. Was the guys last name Prisco?

Those three plus an ice pic for 1500 total, you did well my friend. No shipping or insurance either.

I might be hard to turn a big profit right now with the market we are in

10-4 Sir, thanks again.

I plan to use the nick, but I still want to send it in (if its real :p). I could use it my entire life and it still not look half as bad as it does now. As for the AA, I like the idea of it being original but I also like the idea of it being up to par. Decisions Decisions.
Eric, you lucky Bastid!
I try Uncle :D

I did have to drive 3 hours round trip but Id say it was worth it. As for turning them, not gonna happen unless some teeth fall out or the world discontinues beer. Im gonna have to sell some of my smaller edcs though to justify keeping these ones :( I deliver pizzas so technically I shouldnt have any of these blades as Im one broke joke.

Delivering pizzas and spending $1500 on Busses? You are a HOG!! And not married with kids. :o

I had no idea pizza delivery drivers made that much. I think i'll check into that if i'll be able to buy AA'S and thin nicks. :D:thumbup:

Not a hog, just good with $ and I dont pay much for rent either so that helps

HAHAHA, where I work I actually do surprisingly well for what I do, but Im a go getter unlike the majority. Id say after gas I avg about $15 an hour which is better than any of the managers with exception to possibly the store manager. Ive had a business degree for almost 2 years now but have not done anything with it. Spend too much time on here. Anyone hiring?

So Eric did you ever get in touch with Jerry to verify your scores. I have'nt seen him around here posting lately.
