Lookin for 4" Fixed blade with NO choil

battle creek knives "creekster" (top one):

There's one of these on the exchange right now, just posted up this evening. If I wasn't near broke and reserving my money for an ML Kephart order that should be coming up soon(another blade to look at for sure), I'd be pretty tempted by that Creekster.

some of the guys are modding their 3's, as a possible option

Oh man that does look good, I assume you could do the same with a 4 as well...I dont have the skill or tools to make it look clean, but I do like that alot as I think the ESEE knives are all around greatness, minus the choil....

Bill Siegle makes a great 4" blade with no choil:

Another vote for JK.

for a commercial blade since you like the ESEE4, check out the Ontario TAK? (even with the small choil)

Love the looks of this design. Would love to see more of them and read a review! cough cough hint hint!

An extra 70 bucks could get you the busse basic 4 anorexic model. Its quite the blade if its not too expensive for you.

The bad thing is alot of these knives are cool as hell, but you cant get some of them anymore...I would buy a SAR4 from the above post today if I saw one for $150 or one of the many R Laconica.....I was ready to just go ahead and get a Tops BOB and the next day they showed back-ordered....Any knives I like that pop up in the for sale section will get snatched up before I even see it, I only get to check a couple times a day at work and I think there are some in this forum that leave that screen up all day :)

Funny you should post that Pit. I was just looking at that new model and thought it looked pretty interesting. I like the wide blade and the handle looks weird but comfortable. I am happy that TOPS is producing smaller, thinner knives geared toward the woods crowd.

Hey Ranger, I have something that you may be interested in. It's a Sharpe custom similiar to the one below. I had it made by Andy last year. Shoot me an email.

Andy Sharpe custom - well within your price range. 1095, 3/16"

I'll give another shout out to the Becker 16...it matches all ur guidelines at an excellent price point...and I love mine, been using it for a few weeks now. Mines Sabre grind, the production model in Full flat grind may be even better!

Find one you liked and missed, then ask the maker to throw one in the queue for ya, particularly if its one of their standards.
