Lookin for 4" Fixed blade with NO choil

Just general camp/bush knife stuff. I carry a fixed and either a SAK or a Leatherman Wave combo most the time. So just your regular outdoor stuff nothing too fancy. I dont tend to chop with my knife so that is why I dont want or need a 1/4 thick prybar. But want it stout enough that I dont have to worry about ruffing one up

Bob Dozier makes some excellent blades for that, a little above your price range, but worth checking out. Some of the Bark Rivers and Fallknivens also would work within those parameters. Lots and lots of great knives out there!

If you don't mind Production knives, Buck 102, Kershaw Echo, SOG NW Ranger and others...

Andy Sharpe custom - well within your price range. 1095, 3/16"

Man I love that blade geometry!

BUSSE CABS would fit the OP's requirements. Beautiful blade, and so very functional. The Busse is in the middle here.

Oh I would take a CABS for sure, but they are few and far between and normally go for alot more. I thought I had my mind made up and was looking at the Tops BOB fieldcraft knife, but then as luck would have it, cant find em anywhere now...Tops said at least 4 weeks...I would have bought one this week too.

What about the Koster Bushcrafter? I am surprised nobody has mentioned it yet. Terrific knife, I bought a used one in 3v a couple of months ago, fits your requirements if I'm not mistaken and is a class of its own in my opinion.

How about a Beck? (David R. Beck)

I have a couple from Rick and he does great work

might be worth it to check out rick hargis, maker here on BF.

i've liked his work on the Fixed Blade section of the exchange. emailed him and had him make me a 5" no choil clip point blade last month. 1095, 3/16". turned out nice. shipped, leather sheath, $150. quick work, too. i haven't gotten a chance to get it out in the woods yet (stupid job), but i think it's going to be a good one.
i'll see if i can find a pic. i'm here at work, so it might not be a good pic. but it sizes out ballpark like a Ratmandu...

My good buddy DanCo made these up. Th bigger one fits your criteria. Well within your budget, too.
