I am lookin for big a knife that has

1. Big blade 9 inch or above
2. A steel as good as 420J thats used in Buck knives
3. The look of that knife is should be good like Buck 120
4. It should be a single peace knife with a classic wooden handle

Any recommendation

Price is gonna make a big difference in quality.......

Cold Steel 1917 bowies is one that always catches my eye and seem to be well made from reviews.....=$120.00

CPK makes gorgeous tools that work well but you can add another zero before the decimal point in the above price!!!!

Another one I really like (and probably one of my favorite knives of all time) is the Cold Steel Trail Master (San Mai version). Again, no wooden handle but the Kraton handle is very grippy and comfortable and that blade is something else

Thank you. I own Cold Steel Recon 1. I know they make amazing knives I was going through their products

(that's what I would get for $300, but you might have to look a little bit)

You should be able to find something you like in the Randall catalog. . ..one of their Bowe styles perhaps. Another possibility might be a #1 Fighter if they will make one as long in the blade as you would like. Time tested designs, good steel, heavy construction, great fit and finish, modest customizing options . . .the only miss is the handle materiel. Your choices there seem to be stacked leather, stag or Micarta.

Whichever you get from them, it will become a family heirloom, even if you buy a pre-owned knife.

These knives are beautiful, I am looking for something that more looks like a combat knife with clip point blade

Company is called Work Tuff Gear. They use several designers and different steels, great quality, manufactured in Taiwan (not mainland China) and should fit your budget. They do have more aggressive looking blades, for example:

the 9" Puzon:

the 10.6" Blackout HD:

the 12.4" Puzon Predator Hunter

They use different steel, depending on knife and version, some more, some less stainless, but all well heat treated, etc.

Best bang for the buck that I know off.

Roland.

These knives are amazing, why do they use handles that gives look and feel of a kitchen knife handle?
The handle feels and looks very good in person. Well proportioned for the style and size of blade. If the micarta is not your thing, I bet you could find someone (even on this forum) to make you some beautiful wood scales for the handle if you wanted to go down that road.

I was blown away at the quality of my Ares when I received it. The thing is, scoring any of their knives requires a super computer on a hair trigger to score one when they drop 🥵

True. I got mine on the Exchange here, and sometimes ACK has some for a reasonable price, too.

Then again, the hunt is part of the fun, right ? :)

What's your price range?

One of your criteria is wood handle. That drastically reduces choices. I only saw one knife posted here that qualifies, but all the listed ones would work if wood handles aren't necessary
