*** - Looking for a few good designs - *** And a contest!

I must admit, some of you guys really have an eye for making cool designs for knives.

I was hoping I would be able to do this and now that I am fianlly in a position to do so I hope to make a few of you guys happy to see your visions realized in steel.

Who says custom makers should have all the fun. Oh ya never mind it was Rob Simonich who said that :)

Mike:

The concept has been fun to watch and exciting to participate in. I can't wait to see the process unfold; I'm sure the lot of us are. It's a great idea and I have high hopes for it, even if I'm not selected.

In other words: you whip the llama's ass, Mike!

All the best,
Zero

P.S. Here's an idea I'll share in public: MAKE LEFTY FOLDERS!

Hey Mike no one is checking the email over the weekend, do you guys get sat/sun off or something?

Did you guys ever track down the owner of that pic i sent you?

Brian

ps Rob i still dont understand this Midtech thing.

17?!? 35?!?! You guys deserve some kind of honourable mention. I sent but one design - ONE - but that was good for me. Hope Mike got my ol' PDF of a cool-ass everyday carry... it would be a great all-round blade...

RLR

RLR, I've sent in 57 designs now. I don't know if any will make the cut though.(I hope so!) These things have been piling up on my computer desk for a long time. This finally gave me a chance to do something with them. :D

Mail sent. Two folders and an auto.

i've sent tac folders+fixed, utility folders+fixed, two new lock designs, auto's, OTF's, Acessories, and other stuff.

I am Working with a friend of mine to develop a really cool D/A OTF, should work well since he is a CAD/Mechanical wiz.

Hey even if they dont get made, it was still fun to share, we should have a thread of all the Dragon Forge Drop outs

Mike,
I have sent you photos of two of my prototypes and a drawing of another design to both of your email addresses. I have not received confirmation that you got any of them. Please let me know if I should re-send to you at either address. Thank you.

My Email program went FUBAR and I am trying to fix it. I got all your designs but the autoresponder is not working right.

We will be announcing who's designs are in very soon, maybe in a couple of weeks.

Those who don't make the first cut may make later cuts so do not get discouraged and keep 'em coming.

Like Ed used to say, "You can't win if you don't enter". :)

Do you have a regular (snail) mail address? I don't have access to a scanner right now, but I still want in on this thing. I wish I would have seen this thread earlier.

We will unveil all we can at the Blade Show. I pyt this thing together really fast so don't expect miracles :D

Here is my snail mail address.

WOW
9248 Jaybird Circle E
Jacksonville, FL 32257

We plan on launching the full line at the Shot Show in Orlando next year. Blade will be a smaller launching platform for us as we wanted to get something going ASAP.

Please check your mail, another design sent.:D

Mike, what email address should we send to if we have questions?

I am wondering if you have made any decisions regarding construction, are the knives going to be similar to the dragon forge products already offered? Or perhapse similar to Gigand knives?

Guys sending snail mail, get over to kinkos or something!:D

Brian

btw guys i am up to 59 drawings!

Use mike@wowinc.com for regular questions. If they are specific to Dragon Forge then use dragonforge@wowinc.com.

Many of the designs I already have are going to be in the works. I will announce which ones when we are in the final phase of approval. We will launch a few designs at the Blade Show and the big launch will be at the Shot Show.
