looking for a good S30V folder...

I love the recommendations for CRK products when the price range was clearly stated. Please PM where you're picking up a Sebenza or Insigngo for $200 or less. :p

lots of good suggestions already...a couple of others to consider.

Kershaw Leek G-10/S30V
Kershaw Blur - S30V
Kershaw Avalanche - S30V

Benchmade 940, Spyderco Military, are a couple that come to mind. You
have to decide what size you want blade wise. The Buck Vantage Pro is another good buy. There are a lot of good choices. Good Luck. Kevin

Very nice guys!

A LOT of good suggestions just in a few hours :)

So just for a statistics so far I got:

Buck Vantage pro - 10 recommendations
Spyderco Paramilitary - 8 rec.
Spyderco Sage1 or 2 - 7 rec.
Benchmade 940 - 6 rec

other all about 3 recs per model...

thank you all! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

A rainbow colored Paramilitary.....huh.

Sage 2 or the Sage 1. Very good for the money I think. Benchmade Grips would be another good choice.

Depends on what your use is, as well as your size requirements, but for all around I'd think Spyderco Milirary or Paramilitary would be worth a look.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but the new (so new it's still not out!) Buck Paradigm Pro is an awesome knife. I recently got the Paradigm Avid, which the same design with different steel and handle. The opening assist and locking mechanism are unique and very innovative. The Pro has a G-10 handle and S30V blade steel.

hmmm... confused even more :) a lot of choices here:thumbup:

1. Getting Buck Vantage Pro - around $50-60 nothing to loose :)

2. Getting one of the Spyderco. Not sure which one yet.

tough choice between:
1. Paramilitary
2. Sage 2
3. Sage 1
4. Military.

All of them made in Taiwan correct?

Coming from fixed blades there is one thing you will notice repeatedly, the pocket clip.

Some are done well and some simply make a really good knife feel awful in the hand. The BM mini rukus is a excellent knife with a near perfect blade for general utility but onced gripped hard all that was good goes away with the pain of the clip digging into your hand. Sadly its the only one of the suggested knives I can say that about.

With factors of comfort, quality, and cutting performance I would choose between the Spyderco: para & sage and Kershaw/ZT: blur & 0350. Personally I would buy the 350, beautiful in the hand with custom like quality.

+1 on the buck vantage pro and another vote for the ZT 0350. have both, love both. very different styles of knife, but both are tough and good looking and made to work.

Wonder which knife I like? BTW, that's not a stock millie lol. Photos courtesy of TRIX2004.

Spyderco Native in s30v was my first Spydie, and got me hooked. Absolutely love this knife.

I also think it's one of the best looking entry level spydercos. Now, I don't really give a crap how a knife looks, but it just so happens that this one looks nice, has some very symmetrical, primitive look, both opened and closed. Nice clip point, spear shaped blade. Shaped sort of like an egg while closed, haha. I can't put my finger on why I like how it looks so much.

With the choil it is also a VERY comfortable knife in hand. It carries like a tiny knife, yet holds like a much larger knife, and cuts like a laser. Some people I know don't like the FRN handle, though, they think it feels cheap and plastic like. It's definitely stronger than you'll need, but if you like a beefier feel, this aint it.
