Looking for a Knife for my Sister

Here are some suggestions I have found

Kershaw Natrix: If you can bump your price point and don't mind doing a pre-order in Copper & D2 might fit it is a sub-frame lock a kind of hybrid of frame lack and liner lock I guess

Buck Mini SpitFire: It is a buck lock back w/ a 2.75" blade and comes in some color options

CRKT Eros: 2.84" flipper on bearings

Some previously suggested options

ESEE Zancudo in D2
Ka-Bar Dozier
Cold Steel Tuff Lite

The Tuff Lite is good, but it is really wide and kind of thick in the pocket. If you wear tight pants, it could be uncomfortable. Like I and several others have said, I think the Dragonfly would be ideal. Really useful blade, but small and super light at only 1.2 ounces. You don't even feel it in your pocket.

You continue to miss the point. It's clear to anyone who didn't want to beat the drum of "Buy a knife so she can stab someone" what the OP was asking. I'm sorry that you don't seem to grasp the fact. The OP was asking for opinions on two EDC knives for his sister. Ah well, you can lead a horse to water... Anyway, let's table this. The OP has made clear what he was looking for.

OP, I second the recommendation on a Cold Steel Tuff Lite. Nice, utilitarian blade. She'll be able to cut food, snip a thread off a shirt, scrape nail polish off her nails, remove tags from new things, open mail, covers all the bases. It comes in a variety of colors, and of course, has the Triad backlock. Really can't go wrong.

The Triad lock has a tendency to be hard to disengage though. If she has the hand strength to comfortably use the knife, that would be an excellent choice, if it proves to be painful, she may give up on it. It would probably be a good idea for the OP to show her around and let her choose.

This is true, to a certain extent. I have always found that those locks wore in, and became easier within a somewhat short time. But new? Yes, they can be a tad difficult to depress at first. Fair point.

Triad Locks have a small break in period, but after that they will drop shut. This has been the case with both of my Cold Steel folders.

If its waist band carry Tuff Lite is a good option. However for very little more money a Spydie Dragonfly would be better. Seems she doesn’t like the Spydie Hole.

Has OP considered small fixed blades for in waistband carry. Might be even more comfortable. A crkt minimalist or something like that would be ideal.

The Dragonfly seems like a great option, but it costs more than I want to spend. I have not considered a small fixed blade. In what way would it be more comfortable?

There are very small fixed blades like the Fred Perrin Le Shark that offer a good grip and take up a miniscule ammount of real estate.

Search google for knife carry static cord for an ultra low profile carry option.

RUIKE RKES31B- 2.75" closed. 2" satin finish Sandvik 12C27 stainless blade. Black G10 handle. Tools include: Keyring l Small screwdriver l Belt/cord cutter l Bottle opener l Scissors.

She may really like the scissors. With the included “tools” it’s quite a bit thinner than a comprarable Swiss Army Knife.

I’m not positive that it has a pocket clip so that could be a factor.

Kizer Tangram. 2.7” blade. G-10. Liner lock.
Maybe scratch this last suggestion. It’s a “Tangram” not a “Kizer Tangram”. The price is right and it fits your needs but there are better choices out there from more established brands.
