looking for an extremely thin folding knife.

A couple of people have mentioned the Nak Lok. Does anyone know how it works? Does pushing a button shift the liner lock?

This video shows it although the audio is out of sync by several seconds. The button pushes the liner lock out of the way, allowing you to close the blade.

Go to 4m30s to view the bit about the locking mechanism.

The SOG Access Card is thin and light.

Thanks. It looks a bit stiff to open and close, but an interesting design.
Does anyone know how thick the handles of the new models are?

Another vote for either the Spyderco Chaparral or the Caly 3. Aside from that, you've got the Sage 1 or the Delica at just a tiny bit thicker.

my buddy is looking for a knife so that when he is carrying his folding knife and he wants to put his hands in his pocket his knife wont getin the way, something more comfortable.

looking for something good in quality and thin so that it is a little more comfortable while worming his hands in his pockets lol. :D thanks

The Sanrenmu B4-781 is wonderfully thin -- only a quarter of an inch thick -- and light, with a wicked sharp blade. Blade is 3 inches. Overall length is 6-5/8 inches. Closed length is 3-3/4. Fits very comfortably in a pants pocket. One-handed opening.

Other choices: Boker Trance, Boker Hyper and the French-made Douk Douk (the smaller one would be better for pocket carry).
