Oh, Please, PLEASE start asking your questions in the whine and cheese forum, they would be SOO much more helpful there trust me. ;) and a LOT of responses I am sure. who knows, maybe the famed Gecko45 could help you? He is THE master of all things tactical you know. (I don't know if he even bothers with this forum though, you have seen yourself how many people that will ONLY use a super normal "tool" knife and follow the laws of the areas they are in that are here) Like I said, move it to whine and cheese, and keep us posted on the progress you make with this. :) :) :)

Some believe Gecko45 is active on many forums all over the net, using many secret identities.

No, Gecko45 knows TOO much to be asking questions like this, even he wouldnt "test" out what we know like this, this one must be an honest new guy in need of help. :) ;)

you people say these are illegal... but yet i see them being made all over the place by many different manufacturers. so how do you explain that one?

This is simple, they are not illegal everywhere (Idaho for instance, I can't find the statute that would forbid them from being owned, but you would be questioned if caught carrying, this under the general carrying a dangerous weapon with intent to harm).

Just because you can find it on the net, does not mean it is legal for you to own. In Ohio, it is illegal to manufacture, own, transfer, etc. Getting someone to make one for you, and ship it to you, would put that person in the position of committing a crime in Ohio, although maybe not in the state they live in. Very dishonest of you, since you have been informed it is illegal.

If you want this knife, and continue to live in Ohio, petition your state assembly to change the law, or forget about owning it.

So, to answer your question simply, these are not illegal everywhere, but are in the state you currently reside.

so you guys mean to tell me, that every single knife you have at your house and carry on your body, is 100 percent legal where you live?

be honest. i know your going to lie anyways.

Mine all are.

You must be very Young.

Hopefully age will bring more Wisdom.

Wow, quite a thread.

I would suggest a Cold Steel Recon Tanto. It's a tough, cool looking, has tactical capability, and yet is practical. I bet you will be very happy with it just as it is.

Yes, 100% legal, every knife and gun I own is 100% legal where I live.

Yes, I have a switchblade, yes it is legal here.

If you want this illegal addition to your knife, do everyone else a favor, and do it yourself. Do not lie to someone and get them to commit a crime without knowing it.

Also, think about what you want to do. This could get you prosecuted. It could entail you to serve jail time. It could make it so you can never vote, own a firearm, etc, for the rest of your life. It is not worth it, even if it never leaves your house, one person sees it and is pissed at you, they could file a complaint, and you would be done for.

I have tried to be polite here, but you are asking the members here to help you commit a crime, don't get upset when they refuse to. Also, I don't know the moderators here, but I would assume you are close to a ban for this, to protect the forum.

Another thing for you to think about, having been warned in writing, this thread could be used to show intent if you are ever caught with one of these knuckle dusters.

I own one knife that is not legal for me to carry in my state. That knife is also in mint condition and rarely sees the outside of it's box, let alone the light of day. That knife is also locked safely in a handgun safe. That knife also lacks knuckles, a black coated blade, and the mall-ninja looks that I've come to despise in a lot of knives. So yes, I do own a knife that is not legal. As I stated before, I'm also not a mall-ninja, toughguy, or ignorant high-schooler. The simple fact that you want to add knuckles to a Ka-Bar indicates a high probability of you fitting into one of those categories and therefore are at a high risk for getting youself into trouble with the kind of knife you are looking for. If you showed humility and dropped the arrogant, 'I don't care what you think, just tell me how to get this knife' attitude you may have gotten your (better) answers a little faster. I think it's a little late for that now.

why ask if you are expecting a lie?

the difference is you went to a public forum and asked about how to get something you know to be illegal.
