looking for pocket lazer

Manix 2 S110V with a Big Chris regrind is hands down the best slicer I own. It's not even close...

I switched from the opi to the delica and I find it's about on par. Holds an edge longer and is just as easy to sharpen.

Hi! My two pocket laser beams, the Mcusta Tsuchi and the Fuji Kamon Crest:

I consider these really pure slicers, extremely pocket-able and a pleasure for the eyes (at least for me :)). The Mcustas are probably having the sharpest factory grind I ever got.

When I think of pocket scalpels/lasers I think of the Spyderco

Caly jr. in ZDP 189
Jess Horn in ZDP 189

Caly 3" & Caly 3.5 in Super blue.

Thin blades, very high performing steels that are mostly easy to sharpen ( ZDP can be a chore to reprofile without good SiC or Diamonds) and not extreme prices like the Rockstead knives in YXR7 and ZDP 189 .

All the Spydercos listed above are discoed and only available through the secondary market but they are still worth it. I sold my last few NOS Caly jr's and jess horn's for $70 each . The Super Blue Calys are a bit higher but probably the easiest to get laser sharp.

The Caly jr. and Jess Horns are featherweights and disappear in the pocket. Big performers though.

i was by klotzi yesterday one of the rare knife shops left in switzerland very knowledgeable salespersonel and lots of knifes

Did you find one you like? I'm also a big Klotzli fan and as you live in Switzerland, I'd say they're an obvious choice.

Ooooh, Vanslem6... forgot about the 531.

Laser-esque and easy to carry.

I just hate that thumbstud they have on there.

Spyderco Chaparral...I'm still looking to get one. The XHP on my dice takes a wicked edge....want very much.

Very true, and is the primary reason it doesn't get much time in the pocket these days. Unfortunate, really. I've contemplated ditching the stud all together. It is an Axis lock, after all. This one is different than my others, in that it'll swing open itself when you pull on the lock-studs. Mine needs a deep carry clip or something though, as well. I take it to the garden each morning and use it to cut up fruit/veg for a smoothie. Lol.

I gifted a blue Delica 4 to my brother's gf this evening. Forgot how sharp those damn things come - 2nd to the 531. Delica is still my favorite, though. :)

Spyderco Stretch . Sort of a Spyderco version of the Opinel. A slicer.

Fallkniven kolt in lam CoS steel. Stuff gets scary sharp on my strop. Also the GP model comes in lam CoS steel as well. I've been totally impressed with Fallkniven' s offerings in this steel. A couple other models available in lam CoS too. Holds an edge thru heavy use too. Love my volcano and use it hard with no worries .

I see Spyderco get's a lot of love around here. I agree with RogerC11, the Piranta is literally a razor knife. IMO, the Spyderco, Chokwe, and J.D. Smith would both fall into this category. The Chokwe doesn't look like it would be comfortable in the hand but actually is (not for heavy cutting). The Ti scale and stainless liner/G10, pillar construction, and frame lock make the knife light, easy to carry, and quick to clean. Just don't drop it on a tile floor :) http://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=420

CS American Lawman with its high grind is an awesome slicer... plus the CTS-XHP (powdered D2) holds an edge as good as or maybe even better than S30V/S35Vn. The Tri-Ad lock with its stiff spring (watch your fingers on closing) makes it feel as solid as a fixed blade as any folder I've ever used. Not a delicate knife by any means, but I think you could shave electrons off atoms to create new elements:D.
