When I first saw these discounted, had to look up some reviews. Anybody used there's for more than cardboard cutting find the edge stability ok?

Nice work! How backspacer feels in every day tasks?

Feels awesome. Nice added grip without any hotspots.
I'm going to make some out of different color g10, carbon fiber, and some glow in the dark material.

I love your work, but do you do backspacers without gears? I was just thinking about the grooves I get in my hand when I press hard on my mili handle (standoffs, no backspacer at all) during cuts. I was thinking a smooth back would be more comfortable. Maybe the K2 is just so sharp it sinks easily into the material being cut :) ??

(love the scales you did for my Tuff, btw)

This steel is very tough even at low edge angles. I've hit metal and concrete a few times and it's hardly done more than make a little flat spot in the edge.

Yeah I can make it smooth or do like a rock pattern in it. Definitely options.
Awesome to hear! The Tuff is still one of my favorites. I really hope they make a sprint run of it!

Well I am joining the club... I have owned 10v fix blades for years from big chris and jeremy garrison, love them all. Have a few k390 that are similar. How could I refuse this at the discounted price? Will use for a while then reconsider edge geometry. My experience has been for the edge retention it aint too bad to sharpen. I usually get it where I want with crystolon then keep it there with dmt coarse. I am no expert but this steel I can get zinging without too much drama. Russ

Can I ask how strong is detent on your K2? It is weak detent on my knife and detent hole on blade is smaller than detent ball, so frame stays about 1 mm away from blade in closed position. Otherwise fantastic blade!

I used mine carving and hacking at ironwood while working on shaping the bottom of a bowl.
The edge held up fine. :)

Posted this on the Spyderco forum and though I'd add it here also.

Got mine today, I had wanted to see if a Sebenza clip would fit, turns out the cutouts are near identical, it may just pull in but it will definitly fit perfectly with ~ half mm taken off the side. The Seb clip is more comfortable with it's lower profile (it will be even lower than the pic below when sunk in properly) and with a quick stonewash it will also look better imo

I think I got lucky as mine has minimal stick and is easy to open and close one handed. I did a bit of cardboard slicing and whittling in pine and it's more comfortable than I was expecting after reading some reviews. It rides very nicely in pocket but I find it perplexing that they added a lanyard hole on a knife that is tip down only... a tip up option would have been appreciated. Otherwise, sweet knife! :spyder:

I got mine today, I like it. I may ditch the clip and figure out a sheath for it, I have a back pocket sheath from ksf that may work.
