Looks like the k2s are being liquidated.....

Been carrying mine every day since I got it. It is a beast and super slicey. I am in the middle of a move and have been using it for tons of packing related duties and it has quickly become one of my favorites. So far I am absolutely loving 10V.

Mines been in my pocket since I bought it.

It carry's amazing for such a big knife. Super flat and light.

Everything is broken in now. It's smooth with no lock stick.

The grind is beast, very slicey

I like

:D

You'd be very hard pressed to find a decent fixed blade in 10V for the prices these are now going for. A quality Ti framelock with 4.5" 10V for $150 is a no-brainer.

Yes, a bit more chamferring of the edges would do wonders for the handle ergos, but you can always take a dremel to your user. Yes, the lock is a bit sticky, but I've never understood why people get so concerned about taking an extra second to close a knife. If it was slow to deploy, I'd understand.

Mine came in perfect; good centering, smooth pivot, and perfect grind. The lock was a little sticky but I consider that a feature, not a flaw. The size, shape and steel of this knife are really unique. Looking at the opened knife, it is hard to believe it can fit in a pocket, but it carries surprisingly well. I took it camping in Shenandoah National Park and (as expected) it performed well in food chores.

I had two K2s and a Tatanka. I had to sell them due to tough times. When I saw the K2 going for $150 @ KC I jumped on one. If supplies last I'll buy a second one. Hopefully I can find a Tatanka before they're discontinued. I actually like the sticky lock. Tells me that the RIL won't slip off the tang.

The lock stick goes away with use.

The blade is ~1mm from the back spacer and will not touch it even when slamming the blade shut or forcing it

The stop pin works both ways

Oh you absolutely could. One of the only areas of the knife with any extra room.
The "back spacer" is like a very fat pumpkin shaped washer. You could take out the lanyard tube and drill tap a hole up around the end of the clip. Then shape the spacer to fit against the pumpkin.

The knife lacks the standoffs of most knives. The simple construction is one of the beauties of this design. There is a pivot, a floating stop pin, a rear standoff and a stepped lanyard tube. I am sure there is a way to fashion up a backspacer but it won't be as easy as on most knives which have at least one more standoff. Also, this knife packs as much blade into the handle as it can so space is limited. I love the blade to handle ratio, not just in length but also in height. I am amazed at how much blade comes out of this thing.

This thing is HUUUUGGGEEE!
It puts a smile on my face when I'm handling it.

Mine arrived today. Instant winner for me, fits my hands well. It's going Deer hunting with me in the morning :D, and I don't even have any pics of it yet... :foot:

Mine is well-centered, and locks up at ~50-75% depending on how hard it is opened, and it doesn't seem to be real sticky like so many have complained about (but I have manly hands). I can definitely see how folks might be pushing the lock bar the wrong way with their fingers while trying to unlock with their thumb. My tip, if your knife seems hard to unlock - try using your left hand!!! This prevents your fingers from pushing on the lock bar the wrong way, and may help the lock not to seem so sticky.

The lock face on mine does appear to have been treated somehow, and it can also be seen about 1/16" of an inch down on the inside face of the lock bar facing the blade when the knife is closed. I think if people looked carefully, they might notice the same thing on theirs.

Made a backspacer and it came out awesome. I'm going to finish hand sanding it and post some pics!

Love this big beast!!

And now Ive got two k2s as well.
Redundancy of the best kind.
Was trying to pick a favorite sprint millie.

Thank you Spyderco, for taking a chance on this cool design.
