loose or protected, how do you carry?

A collectible knife like my Scagle folder or Case Cranberry silver scripts go in a pouch. All others just go in my pocket.

Same here. Most of the time they are loose in a pocket, but by themselves. If it's a special one or brand new I may carry it in a cheap pouch in a pocket for awhile. Other than that they all get used anyway.

Loose, but strictly segregated from change or keys, not just the scratches but it all weighs a tonne:eek:

One small knife, under 3.5" in the trouser pocket another bigger one in up to 4.25" in the jacket when worn. Don't want to fiddle about with purses, pouches and suchlike .Mind you, pocket lint and grit can get into the knife joints which is a nuisance.

Been brooding about carrying one in the boot:D Trad Back Up if you like but I'd need a cobbler to modify the boot, some kind of pouch on the inside kangaroo style be nice!

Having had a knife "slip" out of my pocket while sitting down on a sofa - I now carry in a "velvet" cloth pouch with velcro fastening. I find the cloth gives enough "grip" so it stays put ! (The knife was a T. Bose but I luckily figured out which sofa it was. Phew!!)

Uncle Hennery (work knife) in pocket with keys, wrench, screwdriver and coins, Buck 301 DW (sharp knife) in back pocket to somewhat protect and Case old red pocket worn (man jewelry) in watch pocket.

I once had a mammoth trapper by Rick Menefee,it may have been the first slipjoint I ever had with mammoth scales, not sure.I showed pictures of it,with a certain style pouch, with a zipper, that heald the knife,a pen & cc/ cash.
Shortly after,I was served these papers, from "Bendover & Taycutt" :D,a law firm retained by Wifred Works

I never signed it,but I got rid of my pouches & all my worries went away
-Vince :)

Funniest damn thing I've read in a long time! :p

I would love to see a better image of the letter.

Its complicated, coming from them lawmen, but I do not think they wanted me putting thier pocketknives in pouches ("purses")

Loose alone or with a bandanna in right front. Sometimes a fancied up one in pearl might have a purse:foot:, but don't tell Tony or Kerry.

I keep my Custom knives in a KSF Leather Slipjoint pouch or Leather Case Knife "purse" . I always carry one of my single blade customs in one of those pouches in my left front pocket and in my right front pocket, I carry a Jack knife, or a Mini Trapper, or Barlow
I don't carry my Truck keys at all I put them in my dash and use my Keyless entry, and keep my change in a stainless steel cup in my cup holder. That My Friends is called a mild case of OCD !! lol.

Heh, I like the small print that says, "When Tony says something is girly, it is". I was thinking of using that in my signature line but would hate to get a "cease & desist" letter from "Bendover & Taycutt" law firm (which by the way, one of whose attorneys sure looks a lot like Kerry, only better lookin' of course). :p

There are a lot of fellows here who aren't in touch with their feminine side. :p

Mine gets carried with whatever gets put into the pocket- I usually don't carry anything that can break the knife and I use mine so I don't really care if bolsters get scratches. It still opens, closes and cuts, and that is all that matters to me right now in this stage of my life.

Loose right front or next to wallet in back pocket. They call em "pocket worn" for a reason
