Lost a knife to day

Dear Overgaar...don't be so bitter...
I started in the military while I was 18 years old wich is obligatory in France. As 19 years old I started as police officer with the 124 th promotion of police officer where i got the matricule number 445 330.If you weren't so stupide and suspicious you should make some researchs before you start to speak and should know than the French police have a tight cooperation with the french defense ministery and that in every conflict where Frenchs troops are involved, the French police send some officer too...
yes in Denmark you have to be 21 to be cop, and as Danish citizen you should know than Denmark send Danish cops in warzone too...
I live between Denmark and france because my wife is danishand her mom is sick so she wanted to be closer than her.But it maybe doesn't feet in your very very little confused mind...

Oliver,

Thanks for clearing up the confusion. Actually my question was part of the "research" you are requesting. I don't see any reason to be offended.

Frankly, I don't like your tone. I will not continue this debate, as it once again has gotten personal.

Overgaar,
sorry but YOU are the one getting personal by trying to spell a doubt about my profile and what is writed in it.
and no Overgaar I didn't requested any research... But if there is more details about my private life you seem to be "confused" about just go ahead...

you're very welcome french kiss!
and if there is something I can help you out with about laws or tips about how to carry "legaly" in France just shoot a mail!;)
salut!
Olivier

I must say the discussion has been well around, but very interesting. I will not participate in it but I feel that the public debate in Denmark on knives lacks common sense. It’s either black or white without individual judgement.

I read an article in the Danish Knife Society magazine were the author encouraged the readers to write to the Danish Minister of Justice expressing (in a civilized way) our views on the proposed knife act. I’m planning to do so. I know it will probably be of minor (or less) importance but it would make me fell better.

No I haven’t any news about the Sebenza yet. It’s too early to say anything. I have something going on with the police – the knife isn’t destroyed yet. I hope to have a status by the end of the week.

Hey Carl!
I truly hope that you will be able to works something out with them and either get your knife or get them to send it back.
Good luck!

I have thought about writing to the Minister of Justice myself. As you say, it may not carry any weight. But if nobody tries, it will seem like nobody cares enough to sound their voice and the politicians will think we will go along with anything!

hi Carl & Bo!
I'm gonna write a letter too, what about to start a movement?A simple thing could be for exemple for Bo and me to ask the members of our shooting clibs to write too! What do you think Bo?

Good idea Olivier!
Quite a lot of my shooting buddies are knife nuts too, so we should be able to send a few letters and hopefully get some attention!

Good to see the discussion back on track.

If you want to write letters to the "justitsminister", please also write letters to the entire "retsudvalg". The probability of someone listening to the arguments will be much higher.

Good idea! Will do that too!

I’m glad to see this thread heading in a positive direction. I hope Carl gets his knife back and I wish you all great success with your “movement”!

Best wishes,

- Frank

Not all stories’ has a sad ending.

Thanks to the Copenhagen Metropolitan Police I am now the proud owner of a small Sebenza. The police have shown great understanding and have been willing to help in any way possible.

We are lucky to have officers like that.

I was wondering whether disassembling the knife before postage would be possible? Maybe send it in two halves??? With instructions sent in with the second half. That way they cannot say anything about the blade...

From the reviews i heard the sebenza is easily disassembled and assembled...of course with companies like BM and spyderco disassembly means the warranty is void...

Kind of like the way they send stun guns to UK...

Anyway..congrats on getting your sebbie back...man i would be so depressed if i lost a knife in postage

Really great Carl ! How did you work it out? I guess ownership is not prohibited so they let you get your sebenza back? To own such knife does not mean you're gonna carry it, right? :D

Please, tell us!
