Lost in the wild. Which knife?

True, tried and tested, the mighty Buck 110, something an average Joe goin out in the woods might be carying. Sure knife nuts like us would cary a super duper quantum universal fantastic folder and a half, but mr. day packer.

Hey, a read a review on a backpacking site and thay gave the paraframe a huge thumbs up. I was thinking is this for real, stating that it can handle just about anything. Who reviews these knives? Are they comparing them to plastic knives?

I can't beleive no one has mentioned the Cold Seel line of folders. Look into the Voyagers. I would get an extra large (5" blade) or X2 (6" Blade)
non serrated clip point voyager. They should be around 50.00 from www.knivesplus.com
Happy Hunting.

My Ka-Bar Dozier is in my pocket now and it is what I use as my outdoors folder.

I say the Leatherman Wave. Only because I don't have any survival skills and it's Survivor Man's favorite knife. When in doubt, copy the guy who's good at it.

A mint Scagel. Then when they find out I'm lost with ..THAT.. they'll come lookin for me.

:D

i always carry a cold steel nightforce, so i would feel comfortable with that if lost in the wild.

If I have other tools available, I would go for my Gerber AR 3.00 partially serrated. If I can't have anything else, a Victorinox Spartan or Leatherman PST.

I dont know if MR Day packer would really go for the Buck 110 simply because of the size and weight.

Enura 4
Griptilian

I bought a paraframe and returned it to the store a day later.

If I would get teleported to the woods at random, I would probably be carying a non folder concealed knife. Like a push dagger or ai kuchi.

My everyday use folder is a Victorinox Recruit SAK, so that would be my only option for an all-time survival folder. If I KNEW that I was about to get lost *just a hunch*, I would take my Fällkniven A2.

Victorinox fieldmaster. It's my usual edc tho lately I have been carrying a deluxe tinker sometimes instead. I have become a big fan of the swiss army knife , it was only about three years ago that I thought they were a joke. It didn't take long carrying and using one to change my mind.

If it was a one knife only situation i would choose a SAK or multitool. Under 50$ i would choose a victorinox huntsman. Over 50$ i would choose leatherman wave.
