Lost in the wild. Which knife?

okay Like the other guy said One knife and a folder at that ha ha ha
Well if that is the case it would be a swise army maybe one one with a lens to start a fire. or a pocket tool with a saw blade.

I didn't see anyone mention the BM 710. I hear a lot of guys say they carry them all of the time? The reason I ask is that I've been thinking about getting one.

You guys are crazy.

There is NO WAY I would pick a Buck 110!!!!

Because I prefer (and own) the Buck 112. Got it in my back pocket right now.

Under $50 lost in the woods knife. I would chose a Victorinox Swiss Champ or Ranger.

I don't carry folders any more, fixed blades only and even under $50 there are too many Himalayan Imports knives to mention. :D

When and if the Ringed Razel drops under $50 it would go on the list too.

I suppose a person might be able to get villager or DOTD Kumar Kardas, JKM's, and some R series knives for less than $50 if they're lucky. You'd never have to worry abuot breakin' 'em I imagine. The Bilton is something like $35. Small handle aside, it could be useful for some tasks.

The SOD, while a non-<$50 non-folder, has much to recommend it. Of my modest collection, if I could have just one knife for SHTF, this is what I'd grab (and an LM Wave, but that's not a knife ;))

When hiking, I generally carry an Emerson cqc16 and a swiss army knife. Since my choice has to be under 50 dollars, I'll have to loose the Emerson before I get lost.

My current EDC is :
Spyderco Calypso and Cold Steel Voyager 5-inch

If having to choose only one, a larger knife will do everything a smaller one will, but a smaller knife won`t do everything a larger one will....
