Lost in the wild. Which knife?

Got my D'Allara for under 50.
Buck 110 was on sale at Dick's. Could carry two for them for the 50.
My Emerson Commander was free. You just have to win one. :o0
And a Native.

Can I squeeze in a an Opinel saw?

What I would consider that I actually own:

Buck 110
Camillus Heat PE
Byrd Cara Cara FRN PE
" Meadowlark FRN PE
Spyderco Delica SS SE

What I would take:
Cara Cara 99.9% of the time
.1% Buck 110

id pick a spyderco native like quite alot of people here, and my victorinox farmer with alox handle

A good choice would be the balisong folder from Ragweedforge. Light yet reasonably robust, nylon handle and steel lock durable, stainless for carefree use and a good sized blade with super efficient grind for bushcraft. I was impressed. Practically free too so you won't feel bummed if it breaks or you lose it.

Having learned from the 'Master' survivalist, Bear Grylls, as an armchair, er, make that recliner, adventurer - my EDC folder is a Motorola cellphone - with Verizon service. Since it blankets Alabama, I should be out in time to see the playoffs today!

Oh - a serious answer? Make it one of my basic Buck 110s.

For being lost in the woods and only having one knife under the 50.USD price tag, its just got to be a medium Case Stockman pattern # 5318..

One never knows how long one will be stuck their until they can either walk out or be found..

Also, I have half a dozen Buck 110's and although the most popular response here it cannot preform even half the necessary chores that a good multi-blade slipjoint can..

Try to remember fellows, its not the size of the knife, its the size of the brain-pan that is important.. Like perhaps, building shelters, making camp fires, finding food sources, retrieving and keeping fresh water..ect.. ect..

Food for thought,
Anthony

I agree.
A stockman gives you three blades!
And certainly big enough to do what ever real survival you need to do.

How much cutting do you need to do to build a shelter, not a log cabin.
How much cutting do you need to do to start a fire?
Dead wood breaks, logs get dragged into a star fire.

You know how to set traps?
You know how to fish?
You have fishing line for survival?
A stockman or a trapper would be excellent.

Except a Queen large stockman in D2.
The blades will stay sharper for much longer.
