I was making a lanyard for a new knife this morning and had to cut some paracord. Reached for my small sebbie and it wasn't there. I thought, that's odd, I had the knife last night in the exact same pants. Now I'm coming to the realization that I've lost my small unique graphic raindrop damascus Sebenza. I've been carrying this knife since '07. I have torn apart my house, my car, searched the trash, searched the laundry basket, scoured my yard. Nothing. I feel sick to my stomach. Just last night I polished the blade, right after I cut up an apple, just before I went to bed. How can it be gone?!?!. Everyone in my house is a suspect. Even the dog. Now I just wander house searching the same places over and over. I'm going to go nuts.
 
Keep an eye out for it the next time your pooch does its business. The smell of apple might've just been too tempting, sad to say... :(

In all seriousness... I feel for ya. Hope it turns up.
 
Man that is such a drag! I am really sorry to hear that. BUT, don't lose hope. If you had it before bed then it couldn't have gotten far.

It'll turn up!
 
Were you in your car?Check between/under the seats.That's where they usually turn up.

Well, unless something very strange happened, like you throwing it in the garbage by accident or sticking it in the freezer because you weren't thinking straight, then its still there somewhere. Keep looking - especially within 3 feet of its last known location.

And like JTR said, couch cushions and under car seats (way down low where the frame bolts to the floor) are the best places to look.

Honestly, the best way to find it is to buy a similar replacement. The lost knife will show up almost immediately.

Yeah, I've checked the car seats, three times. Nothing. I've pulled the backs off of the recliners and tipped them over. Nothing.
 
Sorry to hear about the knife, but I think you will find it. If it was in the house last night, it has be there.

I lost a nice folder a couple of years ago for about 6 months. I took ever thing out of my safe several times, and still couldn't find it.
One day I noticed a small gap in the corner of the safe under the door. I stuck my finger in there, and there it was.

If you know for sure the last place you saw it I would take a flashlight and look in every nearby nook and cranny you can find.

looking very close to where it was lost is a good idea, and may i ask if you are catholic? If you are, try praying to St. Anthony. (he's the patron saint of lost things)
 
Bummer.
I just lost my blue para 2 on the 22nd and ive interrogated every one of my employees and family.
There's nothing worse than realizing one of your go-to / rare EDC's has vanished.

I know the feeling...I almost lost my startac umnumzaan in an attic. I was crawling over an air duct and the pocket clip got hooked on the metal strap and it fell into the fluffy insulation. Took me a few minutes to find it after I realized it was gone.

This is the reason I dump all my pocket clips and I will only carry my knives in a leather belt sheath.

I sure hope you find it! Its got to hold some special place if you've carried it for the last 5 years....
 
Unfortunately I know the feeling, (although it was a cheapo S&W) I had lost a knife this winter thought it was gone for good but after the show had melted in the spring i found it laying in the grass down the street from my house, i must have lost it walking to the bus!, there is hope!
 
That really blows and I feel sorry for you. I have a large "Calvary" and 2 christmases ago I had it clipped to the inside pocket of my pants. I took out a HUG bag of trash from all of the Christmas presents and when I picked the bag up high enough to throw the bag into the trash can outside, I noticed my Large Calvary was gone. i was in a panic, since I had the knife made to give to one of my boys. I tore the house apart and I had my wife looking EVERYWHERE. I decided to go throughout he trash. Well, lone and behold, there she was clipped onto the outside of the trash bag I just took out. Apparently, the clip grabbed the bag when I lifted it up to thrown into the trash can. Ever since then I have been paranoid loosing a CRK or even one of my other knives.
So, I know how you feel. Keep looking brother. Did you leave your house at some point?
 
I hope you find it. I lost a BM Rukus once. When I realized it I was sick to my stomach. I have bought another since, but thinking about loosing an expensive blade kills me.

I hope I find it too. I've spent the entire day back tracking and searching everywhere. I'm worried about the blade, it's high carbon. So if I lost it out side, I'm screwed. It's actually the knife in my avitar. It's a really close match to my large sebbie. So to me it's unreplacable.

Check all those weird places! I have been known to put my phone in the freezer, microwave, bread drawer and even the medicine cabinet not thinking!

I'm sure it will turn up somewhere!
