Lum Tanto

I would be all over a Lum Tanto with Micarta handles. I would jump on that like a shark!

I'm not a big fan of tanto blades, but the Spyderco is one of 3 I really really wish I had. A sprint would be killer

Well said, I would jump on it like a shark as well. And I feel the same way about tanto blades, the Lum is a very special one for me; this, the CRK and the Roadhouse are my favorite tantos of all time, but I think the Lum tops all of them, it is really a masterpiece in my eyes.

The CRK is also on my short list. Maybe I'll have one some day.

The other is the Benchmade LFTi. But would prob never buy one because of it's weak detent and tip down carry clip.

I hope so! I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't though; many of their designs are discontinued, sadly, which is a wise business decision sometimes, it also makes the knife more valuable for collectors; but there are some blades that I wish they never discontinue, like the PM2 and the Southard; I think it was back in 2012 I could not find a single one PM2, anywhere, then they suddenly appeared, but they were gone for a long time. Now, the Lum Tanto would be nice to have available for sure; I really like the size of it, when I got it and handled it,
Let's hope that we see a new edition of this knife, I hope I have the money if they come back.

As well loved, envied and admired as all of those Spyderco LUM models are I'm about 90% certain we'll see another Sprint Run of the C-46 Tanto folder again. But I do believe it will be with an exotic handle material and probably not another G-10 model. Now myself I wouldn't mind another G-10 model but I think Spyderco would do much better from a marketing and collectible standpoint doing a Sprint Run in something like Micarta, Titanium or even an advanced type of Carbon Fiber on the next Sprint run of the C-46.

Even the other Spyderco Lum models like the Chinese or even the Fixed blade Tanto I'm almost certain we haven't seen the last of them>> because they are just so well loved not only among collectors but avid EDC users as well.

Well I am working on a deal to bring another lum tanto folder into my fold. It is a black g10 satin plain edge. I am fairly excited. My current collection will for the most part be lum models and or other knife models with the same blade shape.

Hey don't shy away from a black bladed model. In the past I was never too crazy about coated, black blades>> but with the C-46 Lum Tanto I truly think it adds to the overall appeal of the knife. The C-46 Lum Tanto and the original TEMPERANCE 1 fixed blade both were super cool with black blades.

The Lum Tanto in black to me looks like something out of the future  But to be honest every Spyderco Lum Tanto folder or fixed blade that I've seen I not only liked them but I just absolutely loved them. The Spyderco Lum Tanto models are some of the very best eye candy Spyderco ever produced IMO.

I'm going to go ahead and bump this one, some fantastic photos in here.

Sal, is there any chance at all we will ever see a Lum Tanto folder again? I'm sure there are many here who would love to pick one up. I would honestly pick one up in any configuration (although some dark green g10 would be cool).
