M4 Ti Millie Alert!!!

Yep. And Benchmade is/was going to deliver the M4 Ritter Grips in February. Well, they're not overdue...yet... ;)

did anyone even get contacted yet about who made the list or not? roger should prob start taking deposits now.

As far as deposits go all I've read is speculation as to whether or not he would ask for one. What would he do, bill your CC for the deposit then bill it again when the knife ships?

From the sounds of it he received a good bit more than 500 inquiries to be put on the list when this model was first offered. I'd be willing to be that even if 50% of the folks on the list backed out those 250 knives will sell without a problem.

Also if you were going to require deposits wouldn't you do that up front rather than 3-4 months into the order?

I asked them specifically if I was on the list and if they wanted a deposit and the reply about 1 month ago was they'd let me know if they needed anything besides my confirmation that I want to remain on the list.

I can't wait for this one -- saving up for it as it will be my only knife purchase in 2010...

As I have stated before it is just not feasible to take a deposit at this point. Someone came in and mentioned it once and was probably just making stuff up and now it gets asked about once a week. The only time you are going to be contacted is when it is your turn to buy a knife. Even just getting the knives sold to the people on the list will probably take a week or two. It would probably take even longer if a deposit is having to be sorted out.

I'm still both really excited about this knife, yet a little pessimistic.

I have a feeling a g10 millie would suit my needs better than ti/RIL. Yet the m4 steel is too good to pass up on the excellent millie blade.

It is half G10, half Ti framelock. It's a G10 millie but with a titanium framelock instead of a liner lock plus a big chunk of M4. Sounds good to me and if you don't like it I guarantee you will be able to get your money back selling it.

I wasn't real big on the Military when I held it so there is a good chance I won't like it either. The handle is just way too long for the blade size (and I'm 6'2" with large hands). But it's a lot better of a chance with some Ti and a premium blade steel thrown in. Plus I have told myself I will never buy a liner lock again, I don't care how good it is. So this also takes care of that problem.

Well, the problem is that I KNOW I'll love it. Even if the g10 military might serve me better, because this one is heavier and thicker.

Might just have to get a normal one, too

No they haven't but I think there are those that want one and like to drop hints.

I personally don't see why so many want it. Yeah its great when I'm on the boat in saltwater but that is a small portion of my time.

YEAh!! - Bring the H1 Military!!!!!!!

Cut fruit and stick in your pocket. Maybe in a day of two just throw it in the diswasher. Never a worry with H1. keep it dirty and use it like it should be used. Peanut butter, no problem. Steak , never wipe it down. You don't always have to look for something to clean it or find something to wipe it down with.

Plus, in the summer where i live, rusts all my blades. That's because my pocket stays sweaty. Knife stays in pocket and gets rust.

H1=no problems!

I got my email from knifeworks and deposit of $20. was sent.

and yes the release date is now in July. But i can wait.

Just sent my deposit as well...the wait continues. That will be a heck of a knife  Well worth the wait!
