Longer version? That's a horrible thing to keep!

You'd do well to get rid of it!
probably referring to the Reinhardt Khukri, which pre-dates Camillus, and isn't a Machax.
OR maybe the Patrol Machete, which isn't a Machax either, but is a fine chopping tool.
So, the Cinci era was before Blackjack when Ethan was on his own? Just trying to understand the timeline...
well, back in the day, Ethan made them himself in Cincinnati, early models with walnut handles and with some assistants and outside excellent heat treat?, Becker Knife and Tool company did its thing... as i recall, Machax and Brute were the first two, then "div tuls" and "tac tuls"...
then along the way, it got bigger... joined up with Blackjack of Cincinnati, and produced more of the above, and added Brutes, and a Reinhardt flavor...
then Camillus, with the actual numbering of the blades, and adding a whole lot more models.
then KaBar, and well, there we are, with even MORE models and flavors.
something like that. i suppose this could now be expanded with dates and places. the very good googlers will find some dates, but i've seen conflicts, and even Ethan said some where wrong, so i've never quite gotten around to it - Ethan should write that
the very clever will figure out how to find my top level photo gallery, and peruse the Becker pictures there, and full literatures, and so on
