howdy shecky, of late i was involved in a farces here and there was much said i should not have said.
BTW : i apologize to any that read it ...
some of it is misunderstood as there is not clarification in the use of smilely symbols ...
several insults were made useing the smiles as a contributing factor...
some times it is hard here to get along and we have do some that dont want to any way...
i and some others like deep discussions.. but they can get carried away...

for a while i hope you and the others that want to respond will try to be a tad more understanding that what is typed can not be put in the context of what a voice can do...
i would urge a tad less tone and posturing on this subject..

i was glad to hear that production might be returning to the usa.
and i feel for any that loose a job here or there.. i have and i don't care were you are or who took it ... it hurts to not be able to provide for your home..

I prefer my knives to be made in America by Americans. I don't care what race they are. I don't buy Chinese knives because they are made in China not because they are made by someone of another race.

Shecky, I believe that you have simply misconstrued morestag's meaning in this post. He very clearly states that he doesn't care what race they are, but doesn't buy Chinese knives because they are made in China (i.e., the country). The comment doesn't sound racist to me all, more nationalistic like BCCL has said. In any case, this is the Buck Forum where we talk about Buck knifes, not race!

So is this thread about knives or is this about something else.

Geez, it looks like it is about something else.

Ah, Bastid, I read through this whole thread before commenting and ya beat me to it.

I know we could use the infractions but in this case I really need a "slamming door" to shut off certain lines of discussion. :D

Gentlemen, without being too acerbic about it, I must remind you the Buck forum works best when we discuss the knives and not each other. It's a shame statements can be misunderstood, and the whole question of where products are manufactured is classically contentious. Please don't rub each others' faces in the dirt over it.
