*Updated pictures on page 2*
I was hanging out with Ban last night and he gave me this old piece of O1 steel that someone tried to make a knife out of. I think it's his first work, but he just won't admit it.
It sat around at his shop as a strop scraper/cleaner, so I thought I'd save it.
I took it home and drew up a knife inspired by Ban's pikal and newly modded Busse Public Defender.

Here I was finalizing the drawing at 4am.
Around noon, I headed back over to start grinding and here's what came out.
I can't take that grin off my face.
I'd like to thank Ban so much for helping me out. He fixed a lot of my mistakes and taught me so much, and I was able to turn some scrap to a pretty cool knife! I have a whole new respect for knife makers.
It still needs to be heat treated and I'll be ordering some canvas or linen micarta tonight. The holes were already there, so I'm going to need to redrill new ones. I'll post new pictures when it's done.
