Those look pretty awesome Gilbert. Looks like you nailed all those designs!

ive got a couple 210mm gyutos one is a konosuke HD and the other is by Shimatani, it is an impressive knife carbon core with raindrop damascus cladding. The profile is sort of santoku-ish but is definately a gyuto. Also a 240mm gyuto that I am not sure who makes, it has a fine level of fit and finish and is also stainless clad carbon core. A Deba with a massive 1/4" thick handle and blade, and a cute little hankotsu! I like the rehandle work, it allows me to see and feel a wide variety of knives.

Got them all boxed up and ready to send out. Now its on to a killer custom, a 160mm utility loosely based off an old sab. This ones in aebl and redwood/ivory and bog oak, frame handle construction, hidden tang deal :)

Rehandling. That is an interesting idea. I can't see myself doing something like that in the near future, but I do like the idea of seeing a lot of knives.

Redwood, ivory and bog oak. That sounds like a very cool project. Can't wait to see some pics of that one.

This one is coming up shortly, just sharpening and putting on the finishing touches.

292 mm Yanagi-ba from 52100.

That is a urasuki grind?

Yes, the standard chisel grind front and urasuki grind on the back. This traditional combination is a real challenge from the initial grind all the way to the sharpening, but very rewarding when it all comes together right.
I'll post some better photos in the next day or so. These first pics show a pretty rough chisel side, which is on it's way to being taken to zero. It will be very smooth in the end. I have about .002 of an inch to take off to get to zero, which on a chisel grind this long is a lot of hardened steel to remove.

Thought id add another to this thread and see what everyone else has finished lately.

Here is cpm 20cv petty with cocobolo and bog oak.

Thanks Brock. I was a little apprehensive when I started putting it together but I think it turned out pretty well.

josh , that one looks like a great camp/ kitchen choice....secure grip with enough blade to do alot of things..looks like a sweet grind too.

Thanks timos. They wanted an all around camping, hunting, fishing blade. It is surprisingly light and feels great in the hand.

Love this! Especially refreshing is the fact that the knives you've posted are perhaps the only ones in this thread that aren't possessed of gaudy/bling handles! The tacky bling factor is why I've never ordered a domestic "semi custom" other than a Carter apprentice knife.
