Manix 2 CRUWEAR

I haven't been around here for many sprints, but does this one seem a little hectic? We had the original post 5 days ago and we just now had another set go up for preorder this morning. I've read a few of the sites are unreliable with preorders but how do KnifeWorks and Oso Grande typically do? I'm pumped for this sprint and I hope my order goes through. First try with CRUWEAR!

I can't speak for Oso Grande, but I have never had a problem with a pre order through Knifeworks.

6:00am?!?!?! this is why I hate KnifeWorks.

You must be on the west coast, they usually make knives available at 8 am CST, which is 9 am over here on the east coast. Their storefront/warehouse is in Louisiana I believe.

WOW! Looks like Oso Grande is going the Bento Box route on this one....

Full MSRP.
But hey, at least they are available....
I overpaid by about $30 for the one I got off BladeOps ($160ish), but $229 is pretty steep

Wow, thats over a $70 mark up from their original price. I believe Oso Grande had it for $158 before they received this second shipment. That's outrageous if you ask me.

Yeah, there's lots of us over here on this half of the country :P
Would it kill KnifeWorks to consider us for a second??

Its back in stock at the spyderco store for $142. Just got the e-mail. I would link it but I'm not sure they're a BF member retailer. It says they have 8 left.

From a business perspective, it makes sense to me.
$229 might be a bit high, but what about $180?
Some people got these for $125ish, I paid about $160.

If I really wanted one, and OsoGrande or BBS was the ONLY site that had them available, I'd be willing to pay $180ish, maybe.
I paid about $170 for my CRUWEAR Military.
It's about finding the sweet spot.
If you put a knife up for sale for $129 and you sell 30 of them in 30 minutes, you've probably priced it too low.
If you put a knife of for sale for $229 and it sits on your site for months and months and months, you've probably priced it too high.

I hope real knife enthusiasts/collectors are grabbing these up and not people looking to turn a quick profit. I bet by next week, the auction site will be flooded with these for 2-4 times the current prices.

Aaaaand looks like they are now down to 3 left...

The forum won't allow me to post as fast as they are going from Spyderco Store :P

^^^^^ Thanks guys, y'all rock! I greatly appreciate all the updates of different stores and availability. Thanks to you I was able to get my order in moments ago, and I'm totally stoked! I was all over like white on rice! :D

That's awesome, that's what the community is all about. I'm glad that at least some of us were able to get in on this sprint from threads like this, if not most of us.

Yeah, times like these are my favorite thing about BladeForums.

I happened to get in on the Super Blue Dragonfly Sprint the same way you got in on this one :)
