Manix 2 CRUWEAR

Seeing this is a tool steel, how likely is it to rust? Would it take along time to rust or somewhar quick?

Not even close.
Cruwear Military's got sucked down and fast and they were hard to find from beginning to end, never in stock at anyplace for more than a few minutes at a time. I think about this many of the green PM2's were made and they were extremely hard to get. Even when the most recent batch went on sale there was a massive feeding frenzy until they were gone. If a person can sit at home at their computer all day every day they can probably get one. If a person has to work during the day and only has internet access at night, they will probably miss out.

Then you're not even trying.

I bought a BNIB Green para 2 for $25 over what KW's sold them for just a couple of weeks ago. After shipping the guy might have made $20 off the knife. Big deal.

The Cruwear Millies do not sale for a huge mark up over what they originally sold for.

I received mine today, love it!

Apparently all dealer who requested this knife were "auto shipped" about 5 each. Spyderco is in the process of producing more of these Sprint Run Manix 2 knives, and should have them available later in the year. So don't panic and pay crazy prices for this knife. You may want to put your name on a pre-order list as well.

Does anyone know the correct weight on this? I've seen 4.25 oz. and 5 oz. I know the regular G10 version is 5 oz. Not that I can get one right now, just curious.

Spyderco's site says 4.3 oz. so I guess I'll take that.

I guess I got lucky - I was on Knifecenter's site two days ago and saw this knife. They had the option to pre-order, which I did, and just got an email today saying it shipped! :D

I don't see the appeal, unless it's the beanie baby phenom....There have been other manix issues with what would seem to be as good or better steels....

Better steel than Cruwear? I would definitely like to hear about those better steels as Cruwear is supposed to be like CPM D2, but better? At least that is what I have read.

Better means something different to everyone. That said the Manix 2 has been a available in a variety of steels. Akin to the paramilitary 2 and the military.

what does cruwear offer that m4, s110, don't? I understand it might be tougher, but in a 3" folding knife, is the higher toughness of any meaningful value? Oh, and cts-xhp, which the manix was also offered, was said to be an "improved d2", if I remember correctly....

I also do not see the appeal of these as I have the CTS-XHP version which is a D2 equivalent but I do have a hint for those still wishing to get their hands on a cru-wear manix 2. A certain dealer on here has them for $144.95 and they are showing in stock at the moment.

I just checked all of the online retailers and did not find any in stock anywhere.

(In 2 minutes I have to get to work and won't have internet access until tonight.)

There was a bf dealer that shows they have them, BUT when you add it to the cart it says availability (0)

I'd like to pick one up for $150.00 range, but not $229.00.

I'm expecting some serious PICS updates today guys, c'mon.
Mine arrives today from BladeOps. Should have pics up in about 8-9 hours....

wire edge, the diamond g10 looks awesome. Can't freaking wait
