manliness and the traditional knife

Does a knife make you feel "manly"?
Interesting question.
I get no more feeling of manliness than I do wearing pants. Since I've carried a knife since elementary school, it's become as part of daily wear as pants. Without one I feel naked or inappropriately attired. It's one of the reasons I don't like to fly anymore, and if I do, My knife goes into my pocket as soon as the luggage comes off the conveyor.

Sorry, but this thread just reminded of the dumb movie line "Manly men doing manly things with other men".

As posted above, I've carried a pocket knife since childhood so it just doesn't "feel" right without one. I notice myself touching my pocket during the day to feel if it's still there, if you follow me. :)
