That would make an ideal hunting knife for a light backpack overnight trip scaling the hills...nice.

I think you'd be right on the money with that tip being a little lower, and the back spring makes this almost feel like it has a lock, quite strong.

A better view of the scales, fairly grippy in the way they grooved them, without being harsh to hold

I not going to buy any pocket knives this year, instead I'm working on a couple more specialized knives. Between a 4” stockman & a 5 1/4” mark 1 there is nothing. I don't see me carrying this as an EDC knife but it'll make a good camp knife. Think of it as a folding paring knife. All I need/want now is a good bait knife.

I put up 4 ceiling fans this week & put it to work breaking down cardboard and styrofoam. Then used it on the boat, cutting skipjack for bait, even covered in bait stuff the handle had good grip. The edge is fine, no reason to sharpen yet.

That's a great report there, good to hear!

Folks, discussion or pictures of that feature which makes the knife not actually suitable for Traditional will get the thread moved to General.

The non traditional feature of this knife is not for display, discussion or mention, as Frank posted some days ago. A post that ignored this request has been removed. Next time the thread gets moved to General.

It is too tempting to talk about all the details on this folder without venturing into the not so traditional area of the knife, so I think this thread has run it's course and folks that are interested in it will have about as much info as they'd need.

I also have a review thread going on this so if anyone would like to chime in on that one you can join in at this thread by following this link

and with that, I'll close this thread and I appreciate all that have joined in, I hope that it's sparked an interest in this folder !
